The usual stuff a web developer rambles on about. As a developer, a great deal of what I do is totally non-visual yet ultimately will power a web page, app or similar. Obviously the people paying the bill like to see progress but without showing reams of code and a terminal output, how do you convince a product owner that things are progressing? The usual stuff a web developer rambles on about. Atomio, promising but it's not quite there yet. I had a good long play with the new Atom editor by the folks at github. While I haven't tried to write plugins for it, unlike this guy. I've tried to use it just as I have been Sublime 2 for some time. I know it's in beta and things should get better but a few deal-breakers prevent me from continuing for the immediate future. Scrolling is jerky and horizontal scrolling is almost unusable.

For some strange reason I needed to unset the assume-unchanged bit on a but of files that were in a git repo. This snippet should help you achieve this:. Git ls-files -v grep 'something or other' grep ' h' awk '{ print $2 }' xargs git update-index - no-assume-unchanged. If you just want to unset all of them, something like this would perhaps suit. Git ls-files -z xargs -0 git update-index - no-assume-unchanged.
