What we've been up to. We are having a baby! Me and Erica are over the moon and I will be posting the photos to whatever web server I have access to. We had our 12 week scan (piccy above) and it was pretty much the best thing I have ever seen, our little Doddlet. I am sure (given how much I like documenting the cats) that this site will now become awash with baby photos, and I couldn’t care less. Amazing. Stoneywell Cottage, Ulverscroft. Acquired by The National Trust in 2012, Stoneywell Cottage in Ulverscroft has been restored to a 1950s window into the past of this holiday home and homage to the arts and crafts movement. I took the family today to go have a wander around this spectacular and cosy cottage. With cathedral ceilings, rooms all on different levels and burrowed into the warm side of a Leicestershire hill, I found this place beautiful and inspiring. Posted on 15th Feb, 2015.

I'm excited to announce that as of 2nd March, I'll be joining the guys over at Absolute Design. As the Senior UX Designer. I'm sad to be leaving Un.titled. As I've made some great friends and learnt a lot in terms of front-end dev. I'd always wanted to work at Un.titled, ever since I first encountered them around eight years ago, so I feel really lucky to have finally achieved that dream. One team shared ownership. Historically with customers and service providers, the relationship was perceived to be just that, the customer is just the customer and the one bringing the money to the table, so therefore all the effort, problem solving and responsibility lay with the service provider. While this looks fine on the surface, as projects start to deviate from the initial path (which undoubtedly sometimes they do) and this split down the middle made for challenging times. Sleep when the baby sleeps. well what a load of crap! Although I have done it a couple of times, most of the time he sleeps at the wrong time or in the wrong place. This photo was taken at a wedding of some lovely friends of ours, a little rude to have taken a nap in the middle of their service me thinks!
