Saturday, July 28, 2012. Today we celebrated Grandma Carpenter turning 80 years young! All the grandkids drove up to Queen Creek to meet Grandma and Grandpa at the Olive Garden for dinner. We left our kids at home and made it an adults only event. Everyone was able to make it, except for Benjamin and Katie, who are in Colorado. It was really nice to see everyone and to be able to celebrate the birthday of such a wonderful and sweet woman as Grandma Carpenter! We love you Grandma, Happy Birthday!

Sunday, August 12, 2012. I forgot to take a before picture of the nightstand, but it was entirely the color of the wood top, and the hardware was a brassy gold. We sanded, primed, and painted it a sage green using glossy spray paint, and also repainted the hardware. I really like how it turned out, and nothing sticks to the top : ) Next up, the dresser! Monday, October 31, 2011. Doesn't that look good? I usually use my bread maker, but since it was for our Halloween feast, I decided to go homemade. It was pretty tasty if I do say so myself! Our main course, Ghoul-osh. Cooked in a witch's cauldron, of course! I couldn't find a Halloween tablecloth that I liked, so I went with black and got these cute plates at Target. Monday, September 26, 2011. Which one do you like best? Me- I prefer the darker one because I think it best captures the kids personalities, even though it's not a "perfect" picture. But, the white background is the best one of the kids as far as smiles and looking at the camera, ect. So, we got both and both are hanging on the wall! I must say it was an adventure braving the studio with four kids, but we did it, and even more importantly I kept my cool the whole time! Quite an accomplishment for me :).
