Wednesday, April 22, 2009. We try to be green. We have all energy efficient lightbulbs in our home. We recyle everything. We try not to leave the lights on and try not to leave the water running. We only wash a full load of dishes in the dishwasher. We have all energy efficient appliances including washer and dryer. I try to use towels instead of paper towels when possible. About 5 months ago I realized that 30 was going to be tougher than I thought, so I figured any sort of distraction and/or added celebration would make it easier to swallow. Sunday, January 25, 2009. The Grocery Budget, Week 4. This seemed to be my most challenging week shopping yet. I headed out with only $54 to spend! We were out of milk so we headed to Walmart yesterday and got milk, eggs and a squash for me to cook up for Harper. Oh yeah *ahem* we also got ice cream in a moment of weakness. So with $54 out of our total 2-week budget, I was a bit daunted as I trudged out this afternoon. Grand total: $49.47! 3 stores this week, and here's how the savings breakdown goes:.

We've managed to pay off somewhere in the neighborhood of $14,000 since January 1st and we are in absolute awe of that fact. We give all praise and thanksgiving to God for giving us the inspiration and promise that He would take care of it if we would make the commitment to get out of debt. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. It's that time of year when the schools do their annual eye exams. Well, this little guy didn't pass. We had been suspecting that he might need glasses for a couple months. He was such a trooper with the optometrist. Nathan was a little short in the chair so Jon sat in the exam chair with Nathan on his lap. When it came time to try on glasses, Nathan was hilarious!
