Popular music playback software is designed for accessing music libraries by search queries or playlists. Nowadays, quick growing digital music collections are often exceeding the size the user can cope with. About two-thirds of an average digital music collection is almost unheard. Those rarely played tracks are overlooked and hard to recognize with state-of-the-art software players. Aims to facilitate a focused, selected and qualitative music consumption.

Is an interactive aural map of the music scene of Potsdam, Germany. A physical button on a tabletop screen allows the user to interact with the map and dive into the musical world of the city. Live recordings from local practice rooms give an unfiltered experience of selected artists. The reduced visual appearance stimulates an explorative interaction by focussing on the aural sense. Augments a classic map by a sonic layer to make it an unique immersive experience.

Furthermore, technologies like automated Beatmatching have made it easier to become a DJ. Nowadays, if a DJ wants to stand out they must come up with an extraordinary selection of tracks or innovative and exciting new ways of mixing.
