The Baxters

Sunday, August 16, 2015. Ha ha poor baby. He's such a good sport. We went over to my parents house in the afternoon and Crew just about died of happiness when he found Mamie's new, giant Sesame Street Book! We laughed about it and were able to stick around to feed the ducks even longer. Those aren't bushes. They are fallen branches. Rainbow on the drive home. Let's hope it sticks this time! Here are some snap shots from Wednesday:. I went to make my bed and came back to find Crew in Nookie Heaven. Crew s...

The Baxters: September 2014

http://www.joncaitlyn.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 10, 2014. I know, over a month and I failed to blog again. I blame it on pregnancy. You can blame anything on pregnancy if you try hard enough, right? I don't know. I was doing a lot better during the first half of the second trimester, then towards the end I randomly lost all my energy and I've been having lazy days, every day. Not that the past month has been completely uneventful! In fact, something really big happened in August: I quit my job! Now onto the actual photo dump:.

The Baxters: July 2014

http://www.joncaitlyn.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 26, 2014. On Tuesday, July 8 we spent the day up at Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. It was super hot that day (probably close to 100 degrees) and I was really slowing down by the end of the day but we really had a good time! We got there around 10:30 or 11 am and we were finished by about 3 pm but we felt guilty leaving because we had both taken off work and had planned to be there all day so we went around and looked at all the animals a second time! And now for the good part- pictures!

Sunday, August 30, 2015. First Week of School and New Milestones. Crew got another tooth this week. This time on top. But the biggest news from this week is that Crew started crawling! It's still a little awkward and slow going, but he's doing it! I'm happy and sad at the same time. He's growing too fast! And now we have to keep a closer eye on him! Jon also started school this week. He is suuuuuper busy! Full time work and full time school has really eaten up all of his time! Just woke up from nap!

The Baxters: 9 Months

http://www.joncaitlyn.blogspot.com/2015/08/9-months.html

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Yep That was the best picture we could get of him. He's not crawling yet, but that doesn't mean he hasn't figured out how to get around. He kept rolling over the second we would lay him down. Nothing we did could keep him there for very long. Technically, this should be his realistic 9 month picture:. Moments of Ruth (and Matthew): October 2013

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Thursday, October 17, 2013. September 2013 Media Inventory. Now that we're over halfway through October, I suppose I'd better hurry and post this. I may have less to say than usual. Megamind: Fun movie. I liked it. Mulan: One of my favorite Disneys! Great scenery, story, music, characters, etc. Lady and the Tramp: I loved this so much I wrote a post about it. The Fox and the Hound: Another one of my very favorites as a kid. It does make me cry. Howl's Moving Castle: Matthew...

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew): November 2013 Media Inventory

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013/12/november-2013-media-inventory.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Tuesday, December 3, 2013. November 2013 Media Inventory. Only one more month to go! It's surprising how fast this year has gone by. And at the same time, the months and days seem to go pretty slowly. Here's what I watched and read in November:. Sorry, Wrong Number: This movie was surprisingly dark for an old classic. I thought I knew where it was going, and then- whoa. Labyrinth: What the weird. This film reminded me of something I would come up with in a dream after e...

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Saturday, April 6, 2013. March 2013 Media Inventory. Sorry T. S. Eliot, but March is totally the cruelest month. Cold, windy, snowy, and so much school. Thank goodness for books and movies. Amadeus: Can you believe I hadn't seen this in its entirety until now? Breaking Dawn (part 2): I had a lot of fun watching this with Matthew. We laughed, we poked fun, we cried (tears of LAUGHTER! And we totally bought into the fight scene, which, let's face it, was the best part. I ...

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Monday, September 9, 2013. Re-viewed: Lady and the Tramp. I have no idea why, but I've been on an old Disney movie kick lately. And I've been having a lot of surprising new discoveries in all my adult wisdom that never really impressed me as a child. Take for example, Lady and the Tramp:. 1 That song at the beginning makes me cry. Am I crazy emotional or is it crazy beautiful? Doesn't she occupy their bedroom now? 8 Peg is an awesome and intriguing character. She always...

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Sunday, March 3, 2013. February 2013 Media Inventory. He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not: When I found out Matthew hadn't seen this and we were in need of something appropriate for Valentine's Day, it was a no-brainer. Smart, creative, fun foreign movie with an oh so delightful tricky twist that still freaks me out every time. Johnny Guitar: Bit of a wild card as far as your traditional westerns go, but I liked it. A lot of conflict, emotion, violence, and some really crazy c...

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew): June 2013

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Friday, June 7, 2013. May 2013 Media Inventory. You will note the heavy Jane Austen emphasis during this month. I considered writing the entire entry in a Jane Austen voice in honor of her domination of my viewing and reading habits, but in the end decided such a feat must be left to a greater mind with more time and talent than the most ignorant person ever to dare to call herself a bloggeress. Silver Linings Playbook: Matthew and I really enjoyed this one. It's sweet,...

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Tuesday, July 30, 2013. 1 I was homeschooled my entire life until I went to college. 2 I went to college in the fall just after turning seventeen in the summer. I could easily have gone when I was sixteen, since I basically did nothing my sixteenth year after taking the ACT and applying to college. 4 I apparently could do the full splits when I was 3 years old. My mama said I surprised her visiting teacher, who thought I was broken or something. 9 I used to suck my index an...

http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Thursday, November 7, 2013. October 2013 Media Inventory. Lincoln: Pretty good film. I was disappointed it only focused on a small part of Lincoln's story, but it did tell a compelling story, and I love anything to do with Civil War history. Ramona and Beezus: Such a cute film, and the beginning of my "Comfort Movie October Fest." I especially love the added romance between Aunt Bea and Uncle Hobart - it's like Ramona for adults! The Princess and the Frog: I love this movie!
