It is a measure which forbids the STATE from discriminating against or giving preferential treatment to anyone based on “race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.”. In short this puts an end to any and all affirmative action measures currently in place in the state government and state agencies, including the three state run universities. What an outrageous idea! Okay, obviously not.

Inside my giant head (size 8). Friday, August 28, 2009. It’s been quite the week. After a very busy weekend I went to bed early Monday night with a sore throat. Other than a trip to the doctor’s office, an occasional visit to the rest room, and two occasions where I became so hungry the pain woke me up, I stayed in bed until Wednesday morning. Inside my giant head (size 8). Friday, June 26, 2009. Why is everything so rushed? The mantra of the “stimulus” bill was that it had to be passed immediately to avoid economic meltdown. President Obama said that health care reform has to be passed this year. Are you kidding me? The bill is over 1200 pages and there was an amendment filed at 3am this morning that was an additional 300 pages. The bill is yet to reach a truly completed form, but they are seeking to limit debate and push for a vote now.
