Hall of Blessings: Precious Moments
http://hallofblessings.blogspot.com/2010/10/precious-moments.html
Sunday, October 03, 2010. On our way home from our trip to Uncle Ted's, we stopped to enjoy some Precious Moments at the Precious Moments Chapel. The kids enjoyed climbing on the animals outside after we ate our picnic lunch of McDonalds. How many kids can you fit on one turtle? I'm working on training Ezekiel to walk holding Kara's hand, so when the baby comes and my hands are full I know he will obey. The fountains all over the property were beautiful and relaxing. Hall of Blessings: Greetings from Kampala, Uganda, East Africa
http://hallofblessings.blogspot.com/2009/10/greetings-from-kampala-uganda-east.html
Thursday, October 15, 2009. Greetings from Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. Wow, I can hardly believe that we left Kansas on Monday. I hardly even know what day it is today. This has been a very eventful and exciting week for our family. The nine hour flight from Chicago to London was also not to bad. The kids did great - especially Lydia and Andy since they slept most of the way. Kara didn't sleep much but she did well, as did Ezekiel. He only fussed a little wanting to get down and explore. A six hour dri...

Hall of Blessings: Mulberry Syrup
http://hallofblessings.blogspot.com/2011/06/mulberry-syrup.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2011. This year is going to be different. One of the things I am trying to do this year is figure out how I can take some of the things around us and use them for food and maybe even some of our staples or gifts for the rest of the year. On to the discussion of the mulberries:. Cost break down - $7.68 - sugar and $4.50 (probably less) lids = $12.18 for 17.5 pints of organic fruit syrup :). Way to go on the syrup - that sounds absolutely delicious! I have used the no-sugar needed sure je...

Hall of Blessings: Rhubarb Mint Cobbler
http://hallofblessings.blogspot.com/2011/06/rhubarb-mint-cobbler.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. While JA and the kids were at VBS, Ezekiel and I took on a cooking project. Again, trying to use what I have available in my yard, I googled rhubarb and mint and found this recipe. Mommy's helper in picking the mint. I then sliced the rhubarb, and chopped up the mint (1/4 cup) with my Pampered chef Food Chopper. Add rhubarb, mint, and 1/4 cup, 1 tbsp, 1-3/4 tsp of sugar (I used splenda since I ran out of sugar yesterday! Add 1 tbsp of butter (oops, I guess I forgot something).

Hall of Blessings: August 2011
http://hallofblessings.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. The time has come to begin clearing out my garden. This is a great lesson for the girls in beginning homemaking. Thursday Lydia helped me harvest the beets. We kept the taproot attached and then cut the stems to about two inches. We brought them into the house where Kara washed the beets and placed them in the blancher. Links to this post. We have started our schooling up again. If you are interested in following our schooling adventures, click here. Links to this post. Lydia i...
