2 1/4 Korean Family: James Jihu Rigby
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2015/01/james-jihu-rigby.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. James learned his first word! He says "Mama." Guess what he is referring to? Yeah Water. before he even learned to say Mommy or Daddy. So sad. But he is so cute! The other day, he had a nightmare and woke up crying. I picked him up and rocked him for about 20 minutes before he realized that daddy was sitting close and pointed at him. As soon as Joe took him, he stopped crying. On his 1st birthday, he chose the thread indicating a long, healthy life.

2 1/4 Korean Family: July 2012
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Our new baby is here! Elijah Juyoung Rigby was born at 5:13 am on July 4th. He was 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 19.5 inches tall. Well, the week after that, I woke up in the middle of the night and thought that my water had broken. We were staying at Yeagi's house, so we didn't get to the hospital until 2am. Well, turns out, it was a false alarm, and I was still at 1cm. Later that morning, I had another check up, and the doc said I was at 3 cm! Anyway. we later found o...

2 1/4 Korean Family: February 2013
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Friday, February 1, 2013. Wow Eli is already 6 months old! Okay 7 months.) We went in for a check up earlier this month, and we couldn't but laugh at the numbers. So his height is in the 75th percentile, weight 43rd, and his head circumference, 100%! I mean, is it even possible to be on the 100th percentile on something? He's starting to get into the clingly phase. He'll start to whine if he sees me or Joe walk out of his sight. He loves Al who's always trying to make him lau...And h...

2 1/4 Korean Family: October 2012
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. For this year's Halloween, I didn't have to spend too much time on our costumes. Alden said he wanted to be Mario again this year. Ellie said she didn't want to be Princess Peach again but just a princess. (She calls herself princess whenever she's wearing a skirt or a dress). Joe had to dress up to fit in a theme that his team at work was putting together. At 3:30, we went over to Joe's work to go trick-or-treating. The whole building was all decorat...

Tony and Margaret: December 2014
http://tonyandmargaret.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. It's been real, it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. Actually, like everything in life, it's had its ups and downs. The big up for me is that I finally finished typing up my dissertation and sent it off to my committee. We will see how they evaluate it and me next week. I also wanted to document my recently sprained ankle that was a blessing in disguise. This was right after it happened. One of these is not like the other. About a week later. Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

2 1/4 Korean Family: September 2012
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Friday, September 28, 2012. 양념치킨 Sweet and Spicy Chicken. During college, I used to make this Korean sweet and spicy chicken all the time. I guess I still do too (it's Joe's favorite), and since college, I have made some changes and improvements to the recipe. I've shared the recipe with many friends, and I wanted to share the new and updated recipe with everyone. 1 pack - Bonless Skinless Chicken Thigh (mine was 2.5 lbs). 1 Tsp - salt. 1/2 Tsp - pepper. 2 Tsp - sesame oil. Shake the...

Tony and Margaret: I left my heart in San Diego.
http://tonyandmargaret.blogspot.com/2015/02/i-left-my-heart-in-san-diego.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. I left my heart in San Diego. We could not have asked for a better vacation last week. Our daughter slept on both flights, we were safe the whole time (those California drivers have a bad rap for a reason! Tony got to network around Anaheim, we ate like kings, we stayed with our dearest of dear friends in San Diego, and we came back recharged and ready for our routines again. It was the perfect trip, and definitely worth waiting two years for. I'd move out there in a hot minute.

rappin' tappens: August 2012
http://rappintappens.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 6, 2012. Geneva at 1 month. This is the face she makes most often when awake and alert. She grunts a lot. The grunting isn't always associated with doing business (if you know what I mean), most of it seems to be for the pure joy of grunting. Or maybe she's just going to be a professional tennis player someday. Fashionable socks over the pants look. Hanging out in the swing, with limp arms. For her first outing Grandma dressed her in stripes and polka dots. She was cute despite the fas...

2 1/4 Korean Family: Merry Christmas!
http://214korean.blogspot.com/2014/12/merry-christmas.html
2 1/4 Korean Family. Friday, December 26, 2014. Picture was taken at the Bellevue Festival of Nativity.). Every Christmas, Joe and I try to teach the kids that Christmas isn't just about Santa or presents. This year was the first year that the kids actually knew the right answer before we told them. "Christmas is special because we celebrate Jesus' birthday! Great Now we needed to actually teach them the meaning of that. Christmas morning, when the kids woke up, they walked into our room to tell us it wa...
