Monday, March 14, 2011. Stranded in the Desert. We are now just outside of Laughlin at a really nice RV park attached to Avi casino. It also has a movie complex on the grounds so Cecile can go gambling and I can go to the movies. Thursday, July 15, 2010. It's 108 in Coarsegold today. And we're not there! Gary and Cecile Thompson. I was beginning to think youd never use this blog again! Dont forget pix of the grandkids. We got out just in the nick of time . . . taking off early Wednesday morning. Man-oh-man, 108° - no way José! It was 95 in Medford on Thursday. Monday, August 24, 2009. Skunk Heaven in Oregon. Set the trap down, prop open the door and get back about 50 feet. After about 5-10 minutes the skunk pokes it's head out. It seems OK out here. Checking things out a bit more. When I say that we relocate them, we actually drive them down the road about four miles, cross the river and take them about six miles up in the mountains before we release them.very carefully. Saturday, March 12, 2011. Done with the Gypsy Journal gathering. The rally was over yesterday, thank goodness, and we moved about ten miles down the road to Pilot Knob RV park in California. We are taking advantage of a promotion they have here. Get three free nights camping in exchange for listening to a sales pitch trying to get us to join a camping club. Free is worth the hassle.
