Jon Builds a New Guitar

In 2002, Jon built himself a new guitar to replace the one he built for himself in 1980. Here are some of the steps in its construction. Glueing on kerfed lining w/clothespins. Glueing sides to face. Tieing on the back. Putting back into proper plane, and getting ready to trim sides. Marking sides for cut. Routing ledge around top for binding and inlay. Nice photo, you think? Push pins used to hold extremely thin strip of black wood while glueing.
