I have a lot of vacation time this winter, so I'll be visiting the US January 20th - 30th and Japan February 14th - 24th. I'm not too excited about the trip to the US, but I'm glad to be going to Japan again. Being able to travel easily in Asia is one of the things I like about living in Korea. Documenting the process of designing and making my jewelry and metal work. Friday, January 16, 2015. 2014 flew by, I don't know what happened. It was not exactly a fun year like my previous years in Korea, but I was mostly productive and don't feel the year was wasted. Last year I moved to Yongin. And started working at a middle school. It's much better than my previous school. However the city is not better. I was very close to Seoul in 2013, now I'm in kind of a rural area. Last January I visited the US.

Documenting the process of designing and making my jewelry and metal work. Thursday, September 5, 2013. I had been waiting till I got a monitor to start learning Rhino. And I finally got one Tuesday. I got a used 24 inch monitor pretty cheap. It's so much better to use CAD software on a big monitor. So I'm working through basic tutorials now. I'm going to try to stick with it till I learn it well this time. I was learning. Several years ago, but got bored with it and never learned it that well.

This was my 6th trip there since 1997 and it was great, as usual. I was going to take a boat from Busan, but it was canceled cause of the weather. Luckily I was able to get a flight for not much more than the cost of the boat ticket. The pics below are from my phone. I haven't had time to go through all the photos I took with my DSLR yet. On my way to Iowa I thought about if it I really wanted to spend my last couple days trying to finish them all and decided to just finish one. I'm planning on this being my last year in Korea.
