I dreamed a dream | TheScottishOne's Blog

A drop in the ocean. Under one sky →. February 6, 2010 · 3:20 pm. I dreamed a dream. I dreamed a dream in time gone by. When hope was high. And life worth living. Is it worse to have a dream unfulfilled or to never dream at all? That is the question that has been ciruclating in my head this week. It may seem negative to ask such a question but the reality is the answer informs the positive phrasing of the question. That question is how big can I dream? Can you ever dream too big? A drop in the ocean.

Romania 2013: The Commodification of the Other. Romania 2013: Culture Clash →. August 26, 2013 · 2:22 pm. Romania 2013: Romania and Religion. A hand thrust out towards me and a word that sounded something like ‘patchy’. This will be one of my most enduring memories of Romania and religion. ‘Pace’ (the word I heard as patchy) means peace. It is a common greeting on a Sunday and shared between religious believers. It reminds me a lot of the parable in Luke 18:9-14. The answer – because to be seen at ...

I am not sure that will be the case here…though it possibly will be the longest! I have discovered the best way to learn how to count to ten in a foreign language…it is to play cards with children! It seemed a lot of the kids at the football coaching hadn’t heard of Bale (at least not yet! I’m not sure that achieves any...

Christmas 2013 – Catching Fire. Starfish and strides →. March 10, 2014 · 10:34 am. Not giving up…. I’ve decided I love pancakes. I also have a tough admission for a Scotsman…the way the English do their pancakes is way better than the Scottish / American drop-scone pancakes. Not that they are bad…just the crepe-inspired pancakes are just superior! So this past week I enjoyed a double helping of pancakes because Pancake Tuesday is just not enough! So why am I talking about pancakes you might well ask!

April 3, 2014 · 9:39 pm. Justlife – Aspirations and Inspirations. I don’t pretend to have the answers and I don’t pretend that I do all that I could…but I am also not content to let the complacency of comfort set in. How many times have you passed a homeless person begging in the street and determined to walk on by because you know that giving directly to them may not result in the best outcome for them? For me it runs still deeper. Matthew 25 recalls the words of Jesus:. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

She was so busy tossing back the starfish, that she never even noticed that a person had stopped to watch her. “Doesn’t she know that every summer thousands of starfish get washed up on the beach and die? It’s just the way things are.”. Then suddenly she stopped, turned around, reached back down, and picked up the star...
