オットー・ディックス ⅱ. 1891年、ディックスはドイツのゲーラという小さな町で生まれている。労働者階級の家庭で「社会的な栄達の可能性が閉ざされていた」ディックスだったが、その才能が認められ、絵画を専門的に学ぶ機会を得た。そして、1909年（18歳）にドレスデン工芸学校に入学し、画家としての第一歩を踏み出したのだ。 しかし、まもなく第1次世界大戦が勃発。当時23歳のディックスは志願兵に応募。そして、1918年12月に除隊されるまでの約３年間、機関銃部隊の兵士として西部戦線を中心に戦争を経験する。著者によると、「戦争をこれほど長期間に、しかも機関銃部隊のリーダーとしてこれほど苛烈に体験した芸術家はいなかった」。ディックスは第１次世界大戦のあの塹壕戦、狂気に満ちたあの地獄を奇跡的に生き延びたのだ。後年、ディックスは次のように語っている。 12290;……あらゆる人生の浅薄さを自分で体験しなくてはならない。それゆえ私は戦争に出かけ、しかもそれゆえみずから志願までして出かけたのです」. 8208;‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐&...オットー・ディックス ⅰ. 1933年。当時、ディックスはドレ...12302;退廃芸術&...
