Woensdag 8 september 2010. Diving into rigging part 2. Here is a movie with my curent eye setup for my new character. I wanted to create a separate set of eyes that I can attach to the head rig with locators. This way I will have a flexible setup so I can move the eyes around freely. All the attributes for shaping the eyelids and pupil dialation are in the eye controllers and can be adjusted in the channelbox. And I have no idea how you do that! Are there any blend shapes or joints involved?

Vrijdag 11 februari 2011. Exploring some new techniques to render in a 2D kinda style. The textures are painted in photoshop and mapped on the simple cylinders just for testing. Very curious how this style will work when I put these kind of textures on a character. Only one light is used for the shadowlayer. No lights used in the scene. Well on the 27th of March a huge mass of Animation Mentor (AM) students and Alumni :P (around 25) descended on London's BFI cinema for the IMAX screening of "How to Train Your Dragon" by Dreamworks. My Animation Mentor Animations - www.3dsketchbook.com -. Monday, 26 July 2010. Toy Story 3 - Round-up. On Saturday I and a host of AMers all piled into the London ODEON Cinema to watch Toy Story 3. For me the best character in the entire movie is Ken voiced by Michael Keaton. Ken has a number of moments in the film which are so funny. I would have loved to have animated some of them shots. Over all the film is very good and I can't honestly say which Toy Story film is better as they all different.
