DIEPDRUK: Over etsen of diepdruk. In koper of zink, maar ook in aluminium, kan men etsen maken. Er wordt geëtst met kopersulfaat dat geen gassen afgeeft. Diepdrukken is tegenwoordig verrijkt met de mogelijkheid om bestaand beeldmateriaal te gebruiken door middel van de fotopolymeer-techniek. Het is een uitingsvorm van originele grafiek, als vorm van beeldende kunst met een aparte uitstraling en aparte schoonheid (eigenzinnige uitstraling). Hierdoor kreeg grafiek zijn huidige vorm als ateliergrafiek.

The magic of printed Art, caught in a moment. Het leven van jops jacobs is zo verbonden met de natuur, dat dit natuurgevoel het enige uitgangspunt van haar werk is. Zij verwerkt bloem en vooral blad door middel van de vernis-mou etstechniek tot een nieuw leven in frisse tinten. Het is alsof haar bladvormen herrijzen uit een verborgen en verdroogd herbarium, waarin de afgedrukte bladeren door vorm en tekst een esthetische eenheid vormen.
