A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border: July 2014
http://cahoonacres.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Monday, July 7, 2014. Neal is a High School Graduate! Our last one has finished high school. It's crazy. All of our kids are all grown up. When you start having kids you really don't think this time will ever come and looking back it doesn't seem all that long ago when Clark started school. Yep, found a few more pics of "baby girl" I just had to put in this post. This time Camryn is reading The National Geographic. It was a little emotional I have to say.

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Monday, October 28, 2013. One Fall Day Part 2. Saturday was a pretty spectacular day. I needed to go to the post office in Babb, but then I decided to just keep driving. I just took pictures along the way that interested me. I actually took my nice camera to take pictures of buffalo. Somebody bought a lot of them a few years ago. Like hundreds, and I thought it would be fun to take some close-ups like my bear picture. This might be a little hard to spot, bu...

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. I get really excited in the springtime because then I can take new macro shots of wildflowers. In fact, all summer long there are new flowers popping up every two weeks. Some fade pretty quickly like this crocus below. It is the very first wildflower you see. You know what is suuuuper crazy about this photo though? Hold on to your horses because I spotted this all by itself in SEPTEMBER! Do you see the deer on the shoreline?

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Back in the Saddle Again. It is spring break here so a couple of Dixie's aunts rented an arena for their families to have some cow/horse fun and I was invited. We all took turns doing some sorting and cutting, which can be pretty fast paced. I can make the horse go, but to outrun a calf is quite a different story. These are the little fellas we worked with. BTW Lou lou took the pictures today. See this paint horse? How could I jus...

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. This is not just "a" bull sale catalog. It is "the" bull sale catalog. My first bull sale catalog. Yep, I was asked to help out with the catalog this year for Rock. Remember him from my photo shoot on New years Day? I'm telling you again that Rock and Shauna Smith are totally legit ranchers here. They have an annual horse sale in the fall and a bull sale every March too. You bet I can. The bigger the better apparently. Pedigree is a...

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. This year we had two Thanksgiving meals. One in October at Lou Lou's for Canadian Thanksgiving and then we drove to Utah and had one at Brad and Kelly's in Springville at the Log House. The meal was delish complete with turkey, ham and a prime rib roast along with lots of side dishes and 3 kinds of pie. We were full by the end of evening! I think this picture is funny. Who is Laurel talking to? Who is Clark talking to? We got tic...

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border: June 2014

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Friday, June 6, 2014. It's branding season in these parts. The May long weekend, which is a week earlier than those of you in the United States is when gardens are safe to plant and branding is done. It really does depend on the weather though. A lot depends on the weather around here. Most everything. Branding at the Bevans' was done on two different weekends. First was Dixie and her 24 babies, then her dad and brother branded their almost 300 babies.

Man, it doesn't seem too long ago that we went to Utah when Camryn was blessed. Actually, I guess it was only a year ago. Crazy cra cra. Why you poke my head daddy? Jack definitely has his daddys cheeks, but other than that I think he is all his mommy. Can you tell they love their little baby boy? Poor thing.she was sick the whole weekend. Laurel and I went t...

A Look at Life on the Other Side of the Border. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Brad is a dad and Kelly is a mom! We had bookend grandkids this year. Camryn was born in January 2014. Jack was born in December 2014. I love this picture. It says a lot, don't you think? From what I can tell.Brad's cheeks, Brad's nose, Kelly's mouth, Kelly's eyes? And the toehead blonde from both of them. Charlie and Jack. I bet they will be great pals. This is the best one yet. Its not the same hat, but it's the same hat.
