Thursday, January 20, 2011. After a week delay due to weather we finally got our slab poured on 1/18. I went to the lot to get pictures early in the morning before I went to work so that I could get a shot of the slab before the framing started, but to my surprise the framers were already out there working. I was so excited about seeing progress that I had to go after work as well. As you can see the first floor is well on its way in the framing stage. It is amazing how much can be done in one day.

Stair banister with starting of iron railing. you can also see the entry way tile that looks like wood flooring. It is dirty from all the workers walking on it. Outside the house is almost done they have framed out the mailbox and will be ready to build. They will also be starting the outdoor kitchen soon. I built this bass for him to have it and as a way to say thanks. That’s happened and I’m a happy guy. The body top is made out of the most outrageous piece of wood I've ever used. It's bookmatched 1/4 inch thick curly cottonwood. It was from a salvaged tree in Cache Valley that was headed for the dump! This curly cottonwood is amazing!
