The Alethiophile: An attempt at embedding an audioboo
http://alethiophile.blogspot.com/2012/02/attempt-at-embedding-audioboo.html
Exploring truth, reading a lot of books and generally mulling things over. An attempt at embedding an audioboo. I'm trying to experiment with getting audioboo to work. I've recorded myself doing a most theatrical and over the top reading of a short passage from Revelation which is quite fun to quote out of context. If it works, or if it doesn't, please let me know. First attempt at Audioboo. a little quote from Revelation (mp3). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy. Book Re...

The Alethiophile: Thoughts on forthcoming unemployment
http://alethiophile.blogspot.com/2012/02/thoughts-on-forthcoming-unemployment.html
Exploring truth, reading a lot of books and generally mulling things over. Thoughts on forthcoming unemployment. Last week, I was formally told that I would be losing my job. I'm not formally being made redundant, but think of that way as a shorthand. It's slightly more complicated than that, but I don't want to bore you with the details. I also don't want to breach confidentiality. I don’t know where I’ll end up; I’m willing to move, though I am extremely reluctant to go to London....01 February, 2012.

The Alethiophile: Proof of why a transposition error is always divisible by 9
http://alethiophile.blogspot.com/2011/05/proof-of-why-transposition-error-is.html
Exploring truth, reading a lot of books and generally mulling things over. Proof of why a transposition error is always divisible by 9. Here's a little proof I knocked up over the weekend. Sorry it's in a picture format, the platform on which this blog is based can't deal with simple mathematical symbols, so I had to convert a document into a couple of pictures. If you click on the pictures, you should be able to see a larger version of each of the two pages of the proof. 27 May, 2011. 13 July, 2011.

The End of My Tether?: Down, But Not Out!
http://endofmytether-sammie.blogspot.com/2013/03/down-but-not-out.html
The End of My Tether? Sunday, 10 March 2013. Down, But Not Out! I want to begin this blog post by apologising for giving everyone a scare! The biggest news to report though is a little bit depressing. I have been experiencing excruciating chest pain in my left hand side for the last couple of weeks and after much investigation it transpires that I have a broken rib. Ouch! Had I received a call, things may have gone very badly for me on the operating table. I do believe that God puts things into place...

The End of My Tether?: My Family
http://endofmytether-sammie.blogspot.com/p/my-family.html
The End of My Tether? It’s hard to describe in words just exactly how much my family and friends mean to me. I’ve always been what you might call a ‘home-girl’, in that I’ve never strayed far from my roots. That’s not because I have let CF hold me back (I have actually left Hampshire! I’m just the sort of person that is really happy spending time with my family and friends. Probably why I travelled the vast distance of 14 miles to attend university! The End of My Tether?: The First One...
http://endofmytether-sammie.blogspot.com/2011/09/first-one.html
The End of My Tether? Friday, 2 September 2011. I do live life at the end of a tether – this tether being metres and metres of oxygen tubing! Although it does pose the question “Am I at the end of my tether? 8221; On some occasions I would certainly say ‘YES! 8217; Waiting for a transplant (double lung in my case) is not exactly at the top of one’s ‘to do list’. People who know me well will also know that I’m not exactly the most patient person! Or do we ask about it outright? And about organ donation.
