Jo Ellen Scruggs’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Fermenting Vegetables (not a ‘how to’). June 24, 2012. 8212; Jo Ellen Foushee Scruggs @ 2:27 pm. Somehow, I came across this video. On how to ferment vegetables. From what I have read, eating fermented foods is very good for you. His video made it look very easy. So I thought I’d give it a shot. Red Cabbage: the beauty of God. Then I added some Kosher salt, not because it calls for Kosher salt, but because Casey accidentally bought it a while ...

Jo Ellen Scruggs’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Its time to write about our new life! July 25, 2011. What I've learned about being human. 8212; Jo Ellen Foushee Scruggs @ 9:56 am. Its been six months today since I gave birth. (what a morning that was! Being a parent now has made me mourn my brother’s loss all over again because I understand it a little more from his perspective. But I could never know his pain. I pray I am letting the loss affect my parenting, and my life in a...Here’...

Jo Ellen Scruggs’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Processing the future routine July 25, 2011. 8212; Jo Ellen Foushee Scruggs @ 9:05 am. Here’s something I started writing back last October and never published. Reading it now is kind of funny. Things are just ‘working out’ as far as the routine goes. And I’m tired. But I think fitting exercise in my routine would help (along with a little more sleep). Anyway…here it is. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. You are commenting u...

Jo Ellen Scruggs’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Tagged. (and glad to have a reason and time to blog). May 2, 2012. 8212; Jo Ellen Foushee Scruggs @ 9:05 am. Thanks, Jaime for giving me a reason to blog. Having an outline makes it a little easier. Yes, I’m at work, but really this is the only time I have to do this. 2 REAL BOOK OR E-BOOK. I don’t have a fancy Kindle because I don’t read enough to justify it. So if I do read, it will just be a real, tree killin’ book. I’m copy and pasti...

Jo Ellen Scruggs’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Winter break and other thoughts and updates December 18, 2010. Filed under: Holy Spirit. What I've learned about being human. 8212; Jo Ellen Foushee Scruggs @ 12:44 pm. At our doctor’s visit last week, we realized I had actually lost a pound from my weight 4 weeks prior. My doctor’s main concern was that I had an actual Thanksgiving dinner (as Thanksgiving fell in the month between visits). I told her we had 3 dinners! But that I have cut back...

Sunday, September 6, 2009. Well Bryan and I immediately bought some, but I decided I would look online to see if I could find an easy way to sew my own. After reading through a receiving blanket. Tutorial I thought I would be able to make my own. I had also learned over the past week how to make two different types of cute burp cloths. And wee wee wigwams. I made one receiving blanket, 4 burpies, 1 decorated burp cloth, and 6 WeeWee Wigwams. Here are the WeeWee Wigwams. They are such a cute idea! I am a&...

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Today I sent 23 first graders off to second grade! Posted by Stephanie Tillery. Thursday, May 14, 2009. Here is our baby boy at 20.5 weeks. He looks like he has a cute button nose. He weighs about a pound right now and is definitely very squirmy which I love because I can feel all those little wiggles. He did stop for a few seconds for a few good pics. This one shows his femur along with the rest of his body. He has one of his hands near his face. Posted by Stephanie Tillery.

Monday, August 31, 2009. I am very pleased with the final product and I am extremely thankful that it's done. Bryan is still not a big fan of it, but with all the hard work put into it, it's here to stay for a very long time. Here are some pictures of it. The top two are before pics taken by Nathan Morgan. The last three are the finished product (taken by me as I'm sure you can tell). It was green on the inside. I decided to go with orange. Posted by Stephanie Tillery. You did a beautiful job!

Sunday, April 26, 2009. This past week I learned how to sew using a sewing machine thanks to my friend Robbie. Reflections: Aromatic Autumn Garland
http://teachertillery.blogspot.com/2009/09/aromatic-autumn-garland.html
Tuesday, September 1, 2009. I fell in love with an autumn decorating craft that I found on Skip to My Lou. The other day. I knew I had to try making it. I had a hard time finding leaf cookie cutters and I didn't want to invest in a cookie cutter alphabet so I made my aromatic autumn garland a little differently. I also used different measurements for the recipe. Here's how to make my version of aromatic autumn garland:. I used 1 cup of cinnamon and 1 cup of applesauce. Posted by Stephanie Tillery. I am a...

http://jaimalaya.blogspot.com/2015/07/things-my-daughter-has-destroyed-today.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Things my daughter has destroyed today. 1 My picture I colored my very own self. 2 Her handmade dress that was an absolute bitch to sew. She chopped it up with scissors. 3 A dangling bead thing her friend made for her. 4 Her dresser drawer. (I'm still not sure how that one happened). 5 Her brother's pack of blueberries that she dumped out into sand because he sat on the porch swing. 7 The roll of toilet paper she threw all over the bathroom. I had read that laughter ...
