Friday, October 31, 2014. Our mean sea witch, Ursula. The cutest Ariel ever. I was thrilled with how the costumes turned out. Normally, I'm a sew from a pattern kind of person, but this time I made all three without any. I used an online tutorial for Felicity's costume and found some pictures I tried to imitate to make Bridget's and Dayton's. Sunday, June 15, 2014. Yellowstone Half Marathon and June Trip. Here's some photos Nate took during the race. Certainly a beautiful course, although he said it was more of a trail run. He had the girls run the last few feet of the race with him. They all did it! And for the record, the girl on the right, is Lori's friend who ran it too. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. When you're only 6-years-old, adding on another half year is a big deal, and I love any reason to make a treat. I let Bridget pick a recipe off my Pinterest boards, and she chose S'more Brownie Pie. It was every bit as good as it sounds although quite rich. Yea for half-birthdays! Friday, July 4, 2014. 4th of July - Desert Forest Lane style! Everyone in our neighborhood knows that 4th of July is HUGE on Desert Forest Lane. We barricade our street, pull out the grills, eat potluck style and put on an awesome fireworks show.followed by the city of Lehi's fireworks show at Thanksgiving Point (you can see all of it from the front of our house). Set up on the street began mid afternoon. The grill was a popular spot.you have to grill on the 4th of July! Posted by Dustin and Jen Gray.
