Take the step...: June 2009
http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 14, 2009. Well, summer camp has begun! Although instead of being overnight camp, it’s day camp, until camp camp opens, which may happen this week! Then back to camp at 4pm for outside activities, crafts, movie time, dinner, discos, and free time until 8pm when I went back home. The bus I usually take home stops running at 8 again leaving me to wonder why I don’t live closer to my school…? Thursday, June 4, 2009. The Workshop began with journals and journal decorating! That was followed by di...

A Steppe into Kazakhstan: February 2010
http://siprainpeacecorps.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. A week in Kazakhstan, but not this week. Monday, February 15, 2010. I know it's well into February but as I mentioned in my last post I'm still playing catch up. Unfortunately one of our KZ-20 volunteers, Jaime, got into a serious car accident on her way back home from Shymkent, where she was visiting my sitemate. I got four amazing packages since my last blog. In fact, three came in on one snowy day and it felt like Christmas. Thank you sooooo much! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Take the step...: September 2009
http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. This month two of the ladies in my office celebrated birthdays within a week of each other and when in Kaz, we celebrate like ain’t no tomorrow! First, was the birthday of one of the assistants to the director. She celebrated her birthday here at school. She brought in TONS of food and we ate for a long time pausing only to give toasts! This is actually SUPER good for me considering that winter is approaching much more quickly than I want it to. I already got the windows...

Take the step...: July 2009
http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2009. I arrived back to site (from Almaty) on Thursday morning. The same day that the circus was in Balkhash! And my site mate and I had tickets! The lion really didn’t do anything except walked out on stage for a bit and walked in a circle. I think it was supposed to do tricks, but didn’t. There was a ginormous snake that the circus man put in his mouth! Other circus acts included clowns juggling fire, dancers, a woman ate fire and one girl even walked on knives! Friday, July 24, 2009.

http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. I think it's time to retire this blog. Mostly because it's about PC and it's over and I live in America now -. BUTI did start a new one - I don't know how often I'll update it, BUT check it out -. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. I don't know what it was about today. But today was the first day that I felt like I was back back from Kazakhstan - I know in "real life" I've been back for about 4 months, but I felt like I was somewhere in a twilight.not in Kaz, not quite in America. I fee...

Take the step...: some things never change
http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2010/11/some-things-never-change.html
Monday, November 22, 2010. Some things never change. I've been home for less than a week -. I'm enjoying hanging out with my friends, speaking English and eating lots of deliciousness (and also sharing "Kyert" with my friends - they don't like that part). It doesn't feel like I've been gone for 2 years, I've managed to pick up where I left off and because everything is the same I haven't had to adjust to any kind of big changes -. However, I have changed -. Oohyou gave your friend kyurt?

Take the step...: Ice, Ice, Baby --
http://changinglivesinkazakhstan.blogspot.com/2010/01/ice-ice-baby.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. Ice, Ice, Baby -. I wish it would snow more. I’m SO over ice! It’s SO warm in the day and rains.then overnight freezes! Bleh This makes walking difficult. I try to pretend I’m cool.mostly I fail. I slip, I slide and sometimes I even fall all over the place. I try REALLY hard NOT to fall. If I feel myself slipping I just stop and wait to stop.it’s kind of like if your driving a car :). Winter’s *almost* over. I want a brownie . and a video of you falling all over the place!
