green eggs and ham: May 2014
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Monday, May 26, 2014. It ain't the beach. We spent a couple of hours sliding(sledding) down what is the tallest single-structured sand dune in North America with a peak rising 470 feet above the surrounding desert floor (yes, I stole that from the website). The girls had a blast. We gazed at stars at the observatory and caught a pretty close shot of Jupiter before settling down for the night. Our tent (pretty much the only. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. As it turns out, for the past nine y...

green eggs and ham: November 2014
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Anna's 6th grade music program "At the Hop". She tried out for and got a solo in "Stand by Me", a proud mama moment. After a balmy(and lengthy) autumn, we had our first snow in early November, granting Rachel a snow day just before her birthday. Not a bad present at all. She invited a bunch of friends for a gymnastics party. Then, the real party began, as we hosted over 30 family members over Thanksgiving weekend. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Happily married ...

green eggs and ham: February 2015
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Personally, if I had been disciplined by a person in uniform at age 8 or 10, I probably would have burst into tears. In fact, I cried well into adulthood each and every time I was pulled over by a cop for speeding(and yes, it has been multiple times). Whose kids are these? Broken. But not really. At this point, Eve interjected by saying, "and it made you feel better, huh? Sunday, February 22, 2015. Year of the ram. Saturday, February 7, 2015. As a side no...

green eggs and ham: April 2014
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Sunday, April 27, 2014. On second thought, maybe you can handle a headache every day after all. So, based on my research, I've added the following supplements to Lily's regimen:. I won't go into it, since I expect she will read this one day and be a bit miffed that her mother was inclined to check herself into a mental hospital over her behavior. Still, I can't help but wish we could bring back those headaches because they sure made her humble.and my life a whole lot easier. Two teeth...

green eggs and ham: March 2015
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Monday, March 23, 2015. Anna;s Japan time was wonderful- until she got food poisoning outside of Tokyo and suffered through two hours of travel back to the home at which they were staying puking into a bag. Epic travel experience, for sure. A few of my high school besties reunited. Eve got to hold some baby chicks at another high school bestie's house. Awesome museum close to my parents' house - the kids spent hours and hours (and could've spent more hours and hours) there. And since ...

green eggs and ham: January 2015
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Green eggs and ham. Saturday, January 31, 2015. It's homemade, so it must be healthy. Tim's parents gave us an ice cream maker for Christmas. One of my goals for the new year is to make more foods from scratch so we set to work making our very own ice cream with just four ingredients: cream, milk, sugar and vanilla. Somehow I've convinced myself that without all the ingredients I can't pronounce that exist in store-bought ice cream varieties, the homemade kind is borderline healthy. Happily married mothe...

green eggs and ham: Double digits.
http://susieegbert.blogspot.com/2015/02/double-digits.html
Green eggs and ham. Sunday, February 1, 2015. For Lily's birthday party I gave her a choice between taking a bunch of friends to the YMCA (great big pool with a bunch of water slides) or booking a room at a hotel for our family and inviting a smaller group of friends to join us for dinner and games in the room and a swim in the hotel pool. Guess what she chose? Well, hotels are. Pretty much a novelty for our family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Broken. But not really.
