Ponder This: October 2014

http://www.joshandelaineponder.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 17, 2014. This morning I hosted a Busy Bag Swap at my house. It's something I've heard about before and always wanted to do. Busy bags are bags filled with some form of entertainment to keep little hands occupied when in the car, while momma's cooking, while nursing another child, etc. When doing a swap, you only have to make one type of bag and yet you leave with multiple! Now for the bags. Threadable felt squares. So easy to make and yet so fun! Paint chip color matching- match the clot...

Ponder This: Six Months

http://www.joshandelaineponder.blogspot.com/2015/06/six-months.html

Thursday, June 4, 2015. It's been half a year y'all! But didn't I just have her yesterday? MAYBE it was last week. But it definitely wasn't half a year ago! This month has been just as crazy and full of changes as all the rest, so I'll jump right in. Sleep: She's getting better but still not sleeping through the night. (WHY? Gone are the days of her napping for hours in her swing too. She has to be in her bed away from the chaos of her sister to sleep well, and thus we are fully in the mini-nap phase.

Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The plan was to do a vacation where this preggo got to simply relax. That is VERY different from most of our vacations! Normally it's all about the sightseeing and spending each day lugging myself around on my own two stems. Ideally we wanted to go on another cruise. Unfortunately, that required either paying summer prices (CHA CHING! We thought it was ironic). In our private car to the resort. View from our room. Day two: The second day was spent merely relaxing. We star...

Ponder This: Kassidy's Baby Dedication

http://www.joshandelaineponder.blogspot.com/2015/07/kassidys-baby-dedication.html

Friday, July 17, 2015. This last Sunday, July 12th, we had the honor of dedicating Kassidy to the Lord and promised to raise her with a commitment to lead her to a life in Him. This kind of celebration isn't complete without family, so all of the grandparents made a trip in. Laura and Gary came in Friday night (all the way from Ohio! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wandering into adulthood: July 2009

http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Sunday, July 12, 2009. That was the title of the sermon in church this morning. Mark talked about the emotions associated with semi-crisis situations, from frustration, to trying to problem solve, to the realization that sometimes we have to accept help. I'm stuck in a rut because I'm afraid to get out of it. I am afraid of growing close to God and losing someone else important to me. Does that make it any less true for me? Friday, July 10, 2009.

Wandering into adulthood: July 2012

http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Honesty time. Lately I haven't felt much like blogging (probably because I'm not in the habit) but partially because I've been discouraged a bit. On Sunday our pastor preached on faith and made a statement I've heard before but this time it hit me a little harder. Curtis said "God always answers prayer, but he answers in 3 ways; yes, no, or not yet.". Free to Be Me by Francesca Battistelli. A war's already waged for my destiny.

Wandering into adulthood: remembering...

http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2013/03/remembering.html

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Today is a bit of a sad day for Kenny and me. One of the sweetest women who adopted Kenny when he started working at Second Baptist so many years ago is now finally cancer free and in the presence of our savior. We have been following her husband's posts of her course of treatment and were able to see her and her husband last night before she passed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. On this day, 23 years ago. My mother's OBGYN kept a promise to his wife to be home for dinner and I was born at 1:44 in the afternoon. True story. This is my first adult birthday. Alone. Last year I celebrated with friends on my birthday. This year I told no one at work that it was my birthday and I successfully spent the day as though it were just another day. Here's the thing though.I LOVE birthdays. I've been dreading...

Wandering into adulthood: December 2009

http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. It's been a minute since I blogged last (to borrow one of my favorite phrases from my dear friend BG). Lots of exciting things going on in Bridge-land over here, and if you're a fb friend you know some of the more obvious ones. :). Hooray for christmas break! I'm excited to have 2 weeks to do absolutely nothing (except fun stuff) and let my brain rest. My last week or so of work was CRAZY! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wandering into adulthood: officially a growed up

http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2012/09/officially-growed-up.html

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Monday, September 10, 2012. Officially a growed up. Good Monday Morning to you! Things around the "R" house have been more of the same lately. Kenny and I are still waiting on God's timing for his job but we know that it will come at the perfect time. As I was perusing through 2 Corinthians I found another verse that I had marked and definitely needed to hear:. Meanwhile back at the homestead. But that's not why I titled this "officially a growed up".

Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Sunday, January 17, 2010. My first 5K: Complete! I am slacking on blogging.life unfortunately takes priority these days (work has been nuts! But I wanted to let you all know that I successfully completed my first 5K! And by successfully I mean completed (I did walk for about a block after mile 2). Mama Funk and Mama Bridgeman joined forces to document the event and I thought I'd share some of the pictures my mom took this morning. As we were finishing...

Diane's Musings

Laurelin’s Big Day. Yesterday, August 29, Laurelin got her first tooth. She’s been rather roller-coaster-y lately; the tooth might explain her grumpiness. I distinctly remember being surprised with all the other children that I wasn’t prepared for their first teeth. I don’t know why teething has been an issue with Laurelin. Perhaps life will be better for her now. I’m so glad Laurelin is a part of my life. I love her energy and her curiosity. I wish I could keep up! Continue reading ». In Collaboration W...

Josh and Eden

Monday, June 16, 2014. Reflections on my first Father's Day. Enough angst on that subject; the pain is subsiding, slowly, and her mobility is increasing incrementally - she'll have to be on blood thinners for the next half year, but hopefully will come out of this without long term effects. Its absolutely fascinating to see her evolve, just bit by bit, every day. Yesterday was a bit of a breakthrough in that respect; she's starting to figure out what hands are for! Sunday, May 11, 2014. The Woolstenhulmes

Josh, Elise, and Amelia Woolstenhulme. June 20, 2011. So there it sat in my "crap" closet until I could figure out just the right thing to make. I knew I wanted ruffles so I googled a few ideas. I saw a picture of something I loved made a pattern and wahla! This will be so cute on Amelia. Because I had leftover fabric I couldn't waste it. I decided Amelia's cute cousin should have a dress too so I whipped this one up! Amelia helped me model Ambree's dress. Posted by Josh and Elise Woolstenhulme. First of...
