Jess and Dusty's World. Saturday, December 19, 2009. Ayla got her first haircut today! She really liked sitting in the chair and especially liked Jenese (my hair gal). She was a really good girl and sat pretty still. We finally broke down and cut off her long rat-tail in the back. At least we have some good locks for her baby book now. Jess and Dusty's World. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. I can't believe our baby is one year old already! I think the truest advice that we have gotten in the year plus 9 months of this journey was to enjoy because it goes fast. It sure does! It seems like just yesterday we were doing the 3am feedings and diaper changes (oh wait that was yesterday). Ha. But really, we are enjoying every minute of being parents and wouldn't trade it for the world. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl, we love you!

Jess and Dusty's World. Saturday, October 3, 2009. Dusty had his fire academy graduation and is officially a firefighter now. He and the 8 other recruits were sworn in and got their station assignments and duty shifts. Ayla in her pretty new dress for daddy's graduation ceremony. She was quite the chatty cathy and talked the entire ceremony, even talking over the chief! Family of firefighters: Randy (Dusty's brother), Chuck (Dusty's dad) and Dusty.
