Any tips on taming the torrent? Has it really been August since I've published a post? Wow, I'm not sure how that happened because I think about this blog every day. On finding a rhythm. It's time to resurrect this blog. It has been almost a year since I last wrote a blog post and almost three years since I really blogged predictably, and the truth is I miss it. The reasons I gradually tapered to a complete blogging stop are many and complicated and I don't want to bore the interwebs with them right now! Thursday, April 16, 2015. We enjoyed a fabulous trip sans kid to Montana this past weekend. It's been YEARS since we have been away for more than a night or two. Andrew had the chance to participate in a colloquium for a group out there and they invited me to join. We were treated to fabulous dinners and even a tour of a ranch. Wednesday, September 04, 2013. I know I have dropped off the face of the earth. It's been quite the transition in our family. E is doing great but I'm exhausted. :). In reality, we are always working towards healing for our children who have all experienced trauma in their young year(s). Our home feels like chaos sometimes and I sometimes wish for "normal" (whatever that is) but I am thankful that this is the journey God has called us, too. Links to this post. THE RUTLEDGES IN TENNESSEE. Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Animals come and go around here. About 2 weeks the remaining 2 kittens from Ann's last litter went home with their new owners, our nieces. They were fun and playful and Hope really wanted to keep at least one. Being a sucker for animals I am surprised I held to my "no" but I did. Here they are a couple of weeks before we gave them away. Now we have 5 new little puppies to add to our animal collection around here. Yes, our dog, Daisy, had pups.

Josh and Lori's African Story! Tuesday, March 27, 2018. We celebrated one year together as a family of four! We have been so blessed with our sweet and sassy “O”! 8221; She gives the best hugs. We thank God for allowing us to parent her! And I still can’t even post a picture of her or write out her first name! 8221; I huff. Don’t worry about my cold toes, it is really not that big of a deal. The socks are just a symptom and not the only one. Homesickness seems like it has such an easy cure- go home!
