Our Story – Josh and Raven

Josh and Raven met in New Orleans, Louisiana in January of 2006, when all students returned to Tulane University following Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans, LA. In 2009, they came to a crossroads. Josh planned to move back to his home town of Chicago and refused to go alone. Although Raven’s fear of the cold was immense, they moved to Chicago and have now made it their very happy home. 2 Comments. Would you like to comment? Aww, love your story! The Wedding – Josh and Raven

The wedding will be held at Greenfield Plantation on the Black River near Georgetown, South Carolina, on April 20, 2013. The reception will be held directly following the ceremony. Dress is cocktail attire. Music will be provided by Rebirth Brass Band, click here to learn more about them. Driving directions can be found here. The Ring – Josh and Raven

The ring is inspired by Raven’s mother’s engagement ring. Josh sought out Ron Koenig. The jeweler who made Raven and Peter’s wedding band and engagement ring and created an updated version inspired by the original bands. It is exactly what Raven Lewis wanted and more beautiful than she could have ever imagined. A portion of family gold was used to make it even more sentimental. Below is a picture of both Ravens’ hands. A picture that Josh took himself just before he dropped down on one knee.
