Wednesday, June 4, 2014. People often feel that our church is complicated. but it isn't. i believe that being a mormon means first and foremost that i am a christian. by saying that, i mourn with those that mourn, help lift those who feel trodden down, bear the burdens of others, and try to daily see others the way Christ would. i convenant each sacrament meeting to do that. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. My new year thoughts. It's a new year and i'm always motivated by that. this year i have 2 things i want to stay focused on. First, as i put on my new planner - to find joy in the moment.to be in the moment and relish the good things that are going on. not only does this mean i have to get out of my funk.but it will help me stay out of it. Monday, August 29, 2011. Shawnshine and i LOVE utah summer evenings. they are the best hands down and boy have we missed them while being out in dc. Shawnshine and sam riding in the back of the truck. Katie, andrea, and i. The boys doing what they do best. Us girls went and took pics of the beautiful scenery and flowers while the boys set up the campfire. they stood staring and perfecting that fire for at least an hour.we love our mountain men-. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Road trips and a tidal wave. The shawn and i are taking a road trip tomorrow to visit one of my g-friendies and her husband in arizona. Road trips seem to clear the brain and boy do we need it. And i wonder, why hasn't it? Maybe the tidal wave, this fearful unknown, growing anticipation and confusion above me won't actually crash down on me. Maybe, just maybe it is there to push me the safety of the shore. I don't know the purpose of this or understand it.

Friday, May 30, 2014. Last day of school. The last day of school is always a little bitter sweet. ive really loved this group and as much as I'm ready for a break i also hate to see them go. i was thinking the other day that as much as retirement sounds appealing i love knowing i have something meaningful each day. i know loving and teaching these kids is what I was born to do. And isn't that what life's all about. Monday, May 26, 2014. It was the first dinner outside to officially open the summer season!

Sunday, July 27, 2014. We spent the evening rocking out to train at the free summer concert. the weather was perfect, the kids loved it all, the music was loud and it was fun just people wa tching. another magical summer moment again. This evening we all got together to celebrate abi's 2nd birthday. she loved her gifts but the highlight was going downstairs, turning off the lights, turning on the little disco ball that had gotten and dancing!
