The Sweet Tea Diaries: October 2014
http://thesweetteadiaries.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The Sweet Tea Diaries. Thursday, October 23, 2014. James and the Great Pumpkin. Last weekend we took James to his first pumpkin patch. Unfortunately he didn't get a good nap in before we left so he was rather grouchy the whole time. It was still a fun afternoon with our community group, and the weather was perfect. James and his buddy Pax. Our fabulous community group. He was reluctant to crawl through the grass at first but he got used to it. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Oh Lord of the wind and the waves.

The Sweet Tea Diaries: Navigating New-Mommyhood
http://thesweetteadiaries.blogspot.com/2014/01/navigating-new-mommyhood.html
The Sweet Tea Diaries. Friday, January 10, 2014. I got a lot of parenting advice while I was pregnant. Advice is great.when solicited, but more often than not I had seasoned mothers piling on a bunch of things that I absolutely must do or my child would fail at life. The day we left the hospital with James was ever so slightly terrifying. It's kind of a wonder that they let clueless people leave the hospital at all with teensy helpless babies. We got home and I had this moment of panicked what now. I lov...

The Franklins In Japan: May 2011
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The Franklins In Japan. Saturday, May 28, 2011. This is my final blog from Okinawa. I can't believe we're leaving tomorrow! Our marriage has grown stronger than ever and we know if we could get through the craziness of our time in Okinawa, we can get through anything! Here are a few picture of our last days in Okinawa. Our house is all packed up and our things have been shipped to Arizona. We had to live like this for a few days before we could move into a hotel! I think he'll get a kick out of that!

The Franklins In Japan: July 2010
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
The Franklins In Japan. Monday, July 12, 2010. While we were in California we celebrated our third wedding anniversary. Ever since John was deployed he has been planning a surprise anniversary date. I had no idea what was in store which is great because usually I am big snoop and figure it out! Since we were going to be in another country it was much harder to find out what was going on! We drove into San Francisco and checked into the amazing Marines Memorial Hotel. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. These guys h...

The Franklins In Japan: August 2010
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Franklins In Japan. Friday, August 6, 2010. Starting off our last year. Can you believe we have been here a little over 2 years? Actually I can, it feels like 5 to me! We have less than one year to go until we're back in America; as my cousin once said, "Land of the free, home of the brave.and Target! I am so thankful John was there to take care of me! The next day my ankle swelled to epic proportions! Fortunately I can walk normally now and the swelling has gone down! Everyone had a great time.

The Franklins In Japan: April 2011
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
The Franklins In Japan. Friday, April 8, 2011. Since we are coming to an end to our time here in Okinawa I figured it was time for yet another blog post with some funny pictures of signs and other random things we see over here. These pictures are all 100% real life crazy Japan! Let's start with food. I've seen a few different flavors of Pringles here. This one is cheeseburger. I've also seen seaweed! I think I would be a little more likely to try the burger one! Have you ever thought to make Spam sushi?

The Franklins In Japan: June 2010
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
The Franklins In Japan. Friday, June 4, 2010. The luau we went to was one of my favorite parts of our trip. We made reservations a few weeks in advance because it is the oldest, most popular one on the island. We were greeted with gorgeous real leis and a mai tai. Before it started we had an opportunity to walk around, take a few pictures and enjoy the scenery. A little later a crowd formed around a huge pit. They cook the pig under the ground and it is essentially steamed for hours.

The Franklins In Japan: Trip of a Lifetime
http://franklinsinjapan.blogspot.com/2011/02/trip-of-lifetime.html
The Franklins In Japan. Monday, February 28, 2011. Trip of a Lifetime. In the four days we were there, we toured TWENTY-THREE facilities! It was absolutely exhausting, but I am so thankful I went. We had such a warm welcome at the airport! First we went to two mayors' offices in Ishigaki. Then we started our first day with some of the sweetest little kids. I can't believe I didn't bring one home with me! Look at those faces! At many of the places they put on a little show for us, and in return we did a l...
