I wanted to combine snakelike qualities with the alienness of insects. The head is based on the amazing sort of naturally complex joints found in crab claws. I read "A Princess of Mars", and not having seen any of Frazetta's amazing interpreations of John Carter's Mars, I attempted to design a Martian 'horse'; a Thoat. Ten feet tall, ten legs, tusks - the sort of creature that could only happen in the golden age of science fiction. Marvel Super Hero Squad. Sketches and Life Drawing.

Jack of all trades. So sometimes the work is more than just 3d. 50% of the time I spend in After Effects editing the 3d to match the audio and also making whatever graphics is needed for the project.
