The way Pune Municipal Corporation has been going about implementing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has meant that it has alienated almost everyone the supporters of the BRT concept, the opponents and the common man! To a large degree, this is mainly because PMC has been treating BRT as a construction project and NOT as a transportation project , and even then, doing a shoddy job of construction too! We all know why construction projects are attractive for PMC. It is a money-making business, after all!
