Saturday, August 23, 2014. Two months ago I completed Ride the Rockies. Needless to say that seven months later from when my back went out I was thrilled to be riding a bike, and going on Ride the Rockies again. I was riding for the Davis Phinney Foundation,. Cycling Chronicles: August 2013

Tuesday, August 6, 2013. The Meaning of Weddings. The more I learned the more fascinated I became with the whole ceremony. I also realized how much I didn't know about weddings even after having participated in these ceremonies, as a groom, as a groomsman, as a best man, as a guest. Whew, I am a slow learner. And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. To make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. So ag...

Cycling Chronicles: January 2012
http://www.scottdarchibald.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Do you ever feel like you have nothing left in your tank? Feel like you just can't go on anymore because your tired, upset, lonely, scared or frustrated? I had felt that way for a long time these last few months. Physically, I was fine and I was doing more than I had in years, but spiritually I was tired and felt abandoned. I didn't have a traumatic event happen to me, but rather just a combination of life events happening that just wore me down. Or while I was in a class or pr...

http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2013/08/comeback-20.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Have supported me through thick and thin. Even though they are located in Austin, TX (where I once lived and still consider my home town) they still back me and help me when ever I need. By far, the single greatest bike shop I have EVER been to. Also, CrossFit Fort Worth. With the backing of Riata Therapy Specialists. Have been doing my strength and conditioning training for about a year!

New Yorek Life: August 2009
http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Monday, August 24, 2009. Long Sat Ride, Short Sun Run. Then I got off the bike and ran just short of 4 miles. Ugh.that was tough. Afterward I just chilled down at RunTex and ate a chicken sandwich (a HUGE chicken sandwich) before finally meeting up w/ Justin and Ira for a nice meal at a Korean place downtown. I just felt like crap and that I could sleep for days. I went home, ate, and fell asleep. Friday, August 21, 2009.

New Yorek Life: September 2009
http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Friday, September 18, 2009. Late last night I heard that one of my best friends, Justin Gabriel, is in the hospital. He is in critical condition in the ICU and at the moment is unresponsive. He is a strong guy who's been running for a long time, so he's healthy and I'm sure he's bound for a comeback. Your prayers and any positive thoughts or messages would be wonderful! Come ride with me, Justin :). Then in the 4/5 race,...

New Yorek Life: November 2009
http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Monday, November 23, 2009. So, I didn't do anything crazy, but knocked out 2 solid hours on the bike (which doesn't sound like a lot, but it was on the schedule) on Saturday and then did about 12 miles of running on Sunday morning. We got a lot of needed things for the baby, and I think it was really helpful for Resie to get some well deserved attention and social time. As for today, I slept in while the rest of the hous...

New Yorek Life: Life as a "full-time" PRO!
http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2013/09/life-as-full-time-pro.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Life as a "full-time" PRO! Well, I had this idea that when I quit working last wednesday that I would all of sudden have so much time to train, and more importantly, recover! It was going to be grand! Naps in the middle of the day, put my legs up, watch movies, and of course, train like crazy 3-4 times per day! The baby, Rhys, especially! I still managed about an hour on the trainer, but that ...

New Yorek Life: Back to work...no, actual job work :(
http://newyoreklife.blogspot.com/2013/08/back-to-workno-actual-job-work.html
The daily life of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a Christian and an athlete. Monday, August 19, 2013. Back to work.no, actual job work :(. Well, I realized why I was able to get in such a solid 3 days of workouts.I had those days off of work! I guess the trick is to find something that you like to do that coincides with, well, you LOVE to do! This is not a dive start, by the way. Yes, I realize that MANY people swim faster than that, but you have to understand that I NEVER got in the pool and...
