Boy the last month has been fun! I like to fly, but having absolutely nothing to do but whatever I want for 30 days was awesome! I got 4 wood projects done (pics later), watched the whole 3 seasons of Lost, and read 5 books. Drove down to Altus, OK last week for KC-135 training, and boy what a relief! This town is ten times better than Del Rio! It's clean, has about 10 decent restaurants, good commissary, wood shop, .and it's clean (did I say that yet? Happy Cows come from Oklahoma"). The only thing consistent about Studs are that they are inconsistent. This weeks title explains it all.and so does this picture of our new Friday class patch. Last week was grim, but this week turned out to be alright. I had the third-to-last EPQ and passed it (much to my pleasant surprise! Which made my week right there. Then yesterday I finally got to fly the first time in seven days. It definitely showed too, because I lost some of my SA that I had that last week. That's a little bit of pressure there!

Well, short update here.hooked a ride, but made up for that by doing some awesome work with my original IP. Then I passed my instruments 2 test! I was totally stressed out about this one and barely got through it, but it's completed. So that means only three academic tests left in Phase II! The end is in sight! Links to this post. It was pretty cool. Got to fly that last flight with a reserve T-1 LtCol who was himself on his last flight. He's a KC-10 guy and also fly's with the airlines so it was good to talk to someone who is in the same line of work that I want to get in (tanker and airliners). Graduation and "winging" next week! Can't wait to see the fam out here! Josh, it was so much fun to be with you and Andrea for so many days. John and I never take that much time off so it was a nice relief. Congratulations on your success!
