Time, time, time, is on my side, yes it is. The other day I was sent this link summerizing the Gita. A biblicesque story of a man strugling between moral virtues and ethical obligations to family. Many of the later chapters deal with spirituality and one's relationship with god, something covered in an earlier post. The differ...

Teaching, why its important. I feel like crap so there is little point in working and if I am going to waste time I might as well do something I enjoy:-). I suppose I am biased but taking 4 classes (Ok, I am auditing one of them.) has got me thinking about teaching. Specifically, is there a right and wrong way to do it? The re...

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Stop and smell the roses. Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it? Sistah T has been busy, to say the least. Anyhow, had a quiet moment, so I thought I would update the blog. Instead of telling you all about my busy life since I've moved out west, I decided to make a summary of sorts. Without further ado, may I present. Sistah T's List of Stuff You Haven't Done in a While but Should Take Time to Do:. Pick someone up from the airport. Drive across the country. Go to a farmers market.

I have been wondering lately about communication and how it affects who we are and what we do. I think it is fairly obvious at this point that people who religiously watch Fox News are quite a bit different then those that listen to NPR in their cars (did you get the pun? Can you blame them? What is interesting about this is i...

Friday, February 05, 2010. Most of you know I am a HUGE. Colts fan. HUGE. But you know what? This Sunday I am just looking forward to being able to watch this with friends. Break my heart for what breaks yours. But as any good geek would react to a tough question, I have a theory. Absolutely. Is my life a cakewalk? Yeah - t...

Tuesday, October 06, 2009. Sistah T's List of Names That Cannot Be Used For Her Children. My mom gets these mixed up CONSTANTLY. If you say your name is Tiffany she'll call you Stephanie. Or vice versa. It usually comes out sounding like "drool" or "zoo". or a combo of both. When I was a child I referred to Joseph as "Joe-fuss". oddly, this weird habit has kind of stuck with me and I still have to think twice when I meet someone named Joseph. Anything that sounds authentically Spanish. Perhaps I'll inclu...
