A Montessori homeschooling parent of two children age 12 and 14. Sunday, July 20, 2008. Josiah and Tessa have both expressed a desire to take music lessons next year. Reading" means me reading aloud to the kids:. History: The Kingfisher History Encyclopedia. And library books on history. Links to this post. Email d...

Montessori Homeschooling: What is Montessori?

http://montessorihomeschooling.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-is-montessori.html

A Montessori homeschooling parent of two children age 12 and 14. Thursday, March 19, 2009. The prepared environment and the role of the teacher. When that happens, the adult must quietly step back. The adult's role now is to protect that fragile concentration from interruption, for in the early stages, if it is broken, days or even one or two weeks might pass before the child's concentration is caught again. Even a friendly “How are things going? Children's ability to care for themselves and the environm...

A Montessori homeschooling parent of two children age 12 and 14. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Josiah's school work while away. Josiah and the rest of the NZ team travelling to the Climbing World Youth Champs were asked by the coaches to bring school work. Montessori Homeschooling: November 2008

http://montessorihomeschooling.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

A Montessori homeschooling parent of two children age 12 and 14. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. I have a new hero: K, who last week ran the inaugural (AFAIK) Wellington Home Schoolers Family Camp. What a fantastic time! After tea, more games, the older kids wanting to stay up playing, us parents not wanting to spoil the fun but eventually rounding the kids up and off to bed. It was lovely hearing a morepork close to the campsite and tuis in the dawn chorus but I was very cold. Unfortunately I was too busy...

Tessa's Blog: Rocky, Doctor Who and a Rainy Summer

http://tessa-writes.blogspot.com/2012/01/rocky-doctor-who-and-rainy-summer.html

Rocky, Doctor Who and a Rainy Summer. It's been a while since I wrote last. I've been really busy with nothing much. And had a lot of fun mucking around on it. I re-climbed one of my favourites twice (Beautiful Day (18) . I went on a horse trek on an Icelandic horse. They are quite different to the horses I'm used to riding: they are small pony sized and they have slightly different gates. Here is a photo of me galloping on the beach:. My latest non horse-related obsession is Doctor Who. I have watch...
