As part of the allotment proposal it is planned to plant new hedges, an are of allotment forestry to grow the material we need on the plots so it doesn’t have to be imported and an orchard of fruit trees. The village council support the principle of allotments but is keen to ensure it is what villagers want. There are some local names on the waiting list but probably more from just outside our village boundary. The picture, for those who dont know, is not rhubarb but swiss chard grown in my garden which is both tasty and quite decorative too.

The Village Council is still waiting fior a response from the landowner and i am processing some bumper fruit crops from my and neighbours gardens.
