Monday, June 7, 2010. I summited Mount Meru and had an absolutely unforgettable 4 days. I don't really know where to begin describing it, but let's see how it goes. When telling people you're planning to climb Mount Meru, the most common reaction is "why not Kili? Being the only people on the mountain meant that at that height, if we were all still and silent, there were no sounds at all. Monday, May 24, 2010. This weekend Emma and I went on a trip to a village called Longido, about 100km away from Moshi (and a 4 hour journey as it turns out! In the afternoon we walked to a waterfall and a cave where the Masaai come to apparently prepare for the dry season (though what preparation they actually do in the cave wasn’t that clear). Wednesday, June 16, 2010. I have been absent from this blog for quite a while- apologies to all you dedicated followers. Since Meru in a nutshell: I spent a couple more days in Moshi recovering, getting some lovely African fabric dresses made, getting a massage and a pedicure (aaah) and saying goodbye to various friends I'd made there. Then headed down to Dar es Salaam where I met Will off the plane from London, hurray! Also met up with a friend from my course, Emily, who was in Dar at the same time.

Sonntag, 31. Mai 2009. Rio de Janeiro-Ein Traum. Zurück aus Rio.und wieder in Recife :( Meine Woche in Rio de Jneiro war fantastisch! Diese Stadt hat mich verzaubert. Diese Mischung aus Großstadt, Meer Strand, Bergen und Natur hat mich sehr beeindruckt! Ihr merkt ich bin sehr begeistert und ich könnte euch noch weiter vorschwärmen.aber diese Stadt müsst ihr selber sehen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich alle mal ;). Ich vermisse euch alle sehr!
