Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Why I'm not Having a Launch. In 2005 I had my first launch party and it was an event! I had gotten the idea from the book "Guerrilla Marketing". My sister and I juiced- by hand- about 60 key limes for "Key Lime Pie" our fingers were numb by the time we finished. A good friend kept "Blackberry Crumble" warm in her oven a mile or so from the bookstore and drove back and forth with pans for me in order to make that one work. Have you ever made baked Alaska? Busy as time goes on.

Monday, July 27, 2015. A First Timer's Guide to Visiting New York City. Though this is certainly not an exhaustive list, these are some of the things I would have liked to know before going to NYC. Some is advice I heard from others and followed, some we learned for ourselves. Get an app for the subway on your phone. Get a paper/plastic map for the subway for when your IN the subway and the app doesn't work. People are nice and willing to help, just ask. Buy a one week unlimited metro card at the airport.

Monday, December 31, 2007. A close to 2007. I'm not exactly sure what I want to say except that I just wanted to squeeze one more post into the December folder. This hasn't been a great year. In alot of ways I've been sliding backward this year. ( maybe even, this decade. But I am trying to think of all the things I've got to be grateful for as well;. I'm still married (I've been hearing about alot of divorces lately). I have three really great children. As far as we know all 5 of us are in good health.

This is our schedule and we may change it up a little bit, but not much. 7am-Wake up, brush teeth and have prayer. 7:15-7:45 Eat breakfast, and get showered/bathed/dressed. 7:45-8:00 Wash dishes/sort laundry/vacuum living room. 9am Leah Lexia/Sumdog time. 9:30 Emma Lexia/Sumdog time. 10am Kira Sumdog time.

Monday we went to Yellowstone and saw Painting Pots and Old Faithful and other geysers and some waterfalls. We saw almost no wildlife (2 chipmunks and a bird). Our kiddos didn't even mind the sulphur smell-it made them want eggs! I can safely say that I never want to do that again. We paid $30 for the privilege of driving around forever to find parking spots and the traffic coming out, ridiculous!
