February 6, 2010. First ‘Win’. A desire to quilt – yes. Know how – no. First attempt was sewing flannel receiving blankets …. have you ever tried to wrap up a baby in a store bought receiving blanket? Not an easy task as they are far too small to bundle babies comfortably and give them that cozy, snuggly feeling of being in the womb. So, out came the sewing machine (a new one for this new adventure) and stitch, stitch, stitch … and then? A nice, soft and LARGE blankie for baby 🙂.
