Sense, nonsense, and fruits of my over-thinking. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Learning as I go. This is my first entry on my blog site. I really have no idea what I'm doing, but since when has that ever stopped me? I guess I'm looking at this as kind of an experiment. Will I be able to learn how to do this through trial and error? Jottings by loren gould. March 2, 2014. Carl has mentioned to me the increasing presence of acronyms in the newspapers and magazines. That got me to thinking about acronyms that Carl may have heard sixty-seventy years ago. […]. Read Article →. March 2, 2014. I just finished reading the History of Hardwick by Lucius R. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. I think er no, I mean er yes. Sunday, 17 April 2011. Chris Watches another TotP. Don't worry, I'm not going to do another 1976 one, but here's an equivalent one from another year: 31st March 1994, as helpfully posted by Pop Unlimited 1994. This is evidently an off-air recording, rather than coming from the BBC archive, but it's a full episode so I thought it might make for an interesting comparison. No subtitles this time though. 0:15 - Haddaway 'Rock My Heart'. 11) - Thanks to tec...

Kate's Mercy Ships update
Kate's Mercy Ships update. My diary during Africa Mercy's West Africa Outreach August 2006 - August 2007 When asked why I do voluntary work my answer is :- why not voluntary work? Most of my adult life I have been involved in voluntary work as well as paid work, so it was not strange to me that when several parts of my paid work drew naturally to a close, I looked around for a voluntary occupation. Palm Beach high school results and schedules. Once Jacoby Brissett put the much-anticipated announcement regarding his football future to rest Friday night, the Dwyer senior proceeded to show why he's also an outstanding basketball player. Despite a sluggish start, Brissett scored 18 points to complement the 20 points that senior shooting guard Vic Adams poured in, as the Panthers (22-2) flexed their muscles and showed why they're the county's top-ranked team. Brissett showed some nerves early in the gam...

Musings on travel adventures. Monday, October 16, 2006. Posted by The Artsy Voyager @ 7:00 PM. Italy Jot #4, September. Because I didn't have a place to stay in Milan in September, I went on vacation- the homeless take to the roads! Since everyone thinks living in Europe is like being on vacation anyway, I've entitled this trip: "The Vacation from My Vacation." I must admit I started out rather reluctantly. I never went on vacation before because I had no place to live! The path was just a stone ledge, n...

June 30, 2015. June 21, 2015. It’s going to be a quiet couple of days as I travel to Glasgow for an appointment. Perhaps see some interesting photo opportunities on the way. As to writing, I’m being inspired by Frances’s inclusions in the Solstice volumes, Light and Dark. What have I done recently? Trying hard to finish my smugglers story but struggling to get the dialogue right. Still following advice from a post shared by another Moniak Mhor participant, Elizabeth, I’m getting there! December 20, 2016. Well, this has been a momentous year for us! It took me all summer to knit these socks! The only time I had to work on them was when I was traveling. I took a trip to Canada. Our new dining area. Floor in my sewing room. This is the playhouse out back. Maybe it’ll get spruced up in 2017. Our cozy family room. Trying out a new heel pattern. Christmas is getting close. Lots of beautiful snow – most of it’s gone now. Our youngest son’s wedding last weekend. March 19, 2016. December 1, 2014.
