Journalism, online, random thinking. Swapping local news for Kim Kardashian? Why the NUJ’s latest claim doesn’t add up. This week, the National Union of Journalists is running a campaign called ‘Local News Matters.’. As a journalist, it’s hard not to agree with its principle aim: To remind people of the importance of local journalism. Not surprisingly, the issue of perceived clickbait – not defined by the report but the tone suggests they mean ‘stuff other than the stuff we think local journa...Could for...

Reading List: February 2010
http://bythemuddybanksofthethameseditorspage.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 16 February 2010. 5,000 and counting! And so I continue to trawl through the local blogosphere using the variety of techniques and tools I've picked up on my travels. But today it's worth shouting about this milestone that I've reached - I have today discovered my 5,000th identifiably Berkshire blog!
