Of Color and Such: Being Transformed. Society and the Arts. December 25, 2014. December 25, 2014. Waco usually reminds me of death, the pain of my childhood and broken relationships. It reminds me of legalism, a dead kind of faith and all the broken promises. It’s why I don’t go home. But today I heard dad’s voice as I ran the bridges: remember God’s promises to you, Lauren. Let it be redeemed. Begin again. So here is some beauty from a place that has historically, brought me death. December 25, 2014.

Of Color and Such: Being Transformed. Society and the Arts. On Love and Trust. June 13, 2015. A dear friend of mine became a wife today. And I find myself rejoicing that she married first. The reason I rejoice today is that I know – more than any other day, and no less than tomorrow – she has committed to receiving love. I can’t think of a better gift to ask of God for my dear sweet friend with a beautiful soul. And I trust Him with her decision. All my love sister friend. Born to run no more. Join 217 o...

Between Here and There | Of Color and Such: Being Transformed
https://ofcolorandsuch.wordpress.com/2015/01/21/between-here-and-there
Of Color and Such: Being Transformed. Society and the Arts. Between Here and There. January 21, 2015. Ooof Thoughts in my mind today:. I watched a 30-something white male – most likely from the nearby Kriswell or Dallas Theological Seminaries – pray with a (keeping it real) who-knows-what age black male in the parking lot of my local gas station. I rolled my eyes. Along with the onlooking 40 something black male one pump over. “Why are you praying with him? To stand outside without fear? I’m pretty...

Of Color and Such: Being Transformed. Society and the Arts. May 31, 2015. You may hear me judging. Mistake it for opinion. Of the person standing. In front of me. No one can see. The man who calls me lovely. It comes from very deep. The idol, sin encompassing. I put them there. On Love and Trust →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Matt and Tiffany: August 2011
http://mattandtiffany.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Our Pictures from Europe. The endless (to-do) summer. The endless (to-do) summer. First off, sorry for the scatter-brainness of this lunchtime post. I have to squeeze stuff in when I can :). Where's the link that used to be here? I NEED that link! Matt's summer has been much busier than usual, too. For the majority of the summer, he had an internship downtown. He really enjoyed it, and commuting together wasn't too shabby. He also got some great news- he made Law Review! I'm so very, very proud of him!
