As my time in Cairo draws to a close I find myself thinking back to my arrival in Cairo. The contrast between my perceptions of Cairo then versus now is astounding. Journey into the Great Unknown. There comes a time when we must leave all that is familiar. Thursday, December 30, 2010. I am now at home catching up on some much needed rest, finishing work with the UNHCR and of course doing some work on the thesis. It is time to start looking into jobs so I am also starting to explore some options. But for now I am mostly just enjoying time with family and friends. Thanks for all your prayers and support through this challenging semester! Much love to you all.

This was the day we found out that we were accepted into AUC. Little did we know what the next two year would bring. We were so happy and I'll never forget getting that news while checking our emails in the Brown County Public Library! Our first trip to the Pyramids. Well, this is at the Step Pyramid not Giza.
