a different kind of same: Fall: I'm Lovin It
http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010/11/fall-im-lovin-it.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. Fall: I'm Lovin It. In no particular order.this is why I love fall:. I don't immediately start sweating when I walk outside. Random fall scents, especially this candle I got from Bath and Body Works called 'leaves.'. Getting to sit outside at a restaurant to eat and not leave completely drenched in sweat.Joe T's, here I come! I get to wear my boots. (Not cowboy boots, though I secretly want some for fun). I get to wear my scarves! Time off from work for Thanksgiving. Cant post i...

a different kind of same: Fallin'
http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010/10/fallin.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. Things I love about Fall:. Being able to wear a long-sleeved (or 3/4 length - are those still in style? Shirt and walk outside without feeling sweat start to drip immediately. Texas may have super hot summers, but I wouldn't trade it for super cold winters. But it sure is nice when fall rolls around. And now that I have a child in school I get to enjoy this fall-ish thing again. So fun. am I weird? Fall decor. I really don't like Halloween decorations, so I had the "Give T...

Casa de Pate: June 2013
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 22, 2013. It's Not Just a Number. I recently realized that I had been struggling with an aspect of where Eveyn fits into my daily life. One of the most difficult areas to navigate in losing a child is the question of how many children I have. It seems simple. Why would that be a complicated issue? How many kids do you have? What were your pregnancies like? Do I talk about all four pregnancies and babies, or just the three that are the most comfortable? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Casa de Pate: August 2012
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 10, 2012. My kids love the Dinner Question Game. It's not really a game, but a box of questions that I bought before I ever had kids. We've hardly ever used it until this year, but it has become a family favorite. It's ok if you don't like it right now. Can you think of something that you used to dislike eating that you really enjoy now that you're older? Question #1: If your house was on fire and you could only take one thing with you, what would it be? My house is on fire? Before Ella co...

Casa de Pate: September 2009
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. This is an entry I found through the Pioneer Woman blog that I follow (the author is not the Pioneer Woman, but another author named Mrs. G). The Oldest One in the Book. Mrs G has dealt with this question so many times that she is going to have to take a moment to whack her head on her desk three times to call herself back to order. Hold on a sec…. Mrs G had to occasionally curb socialization. Mrs G is going to bring this communique to a close, because she know she’s ...

Casa de Pate: Eight Years In The Making
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2014/06/eight-years-in-making.html
Friday, June 06, 2014. Eight Years In The Making. How do you create a headstone for your daughter? And not just that, but how do you allow it to be primarily for your daughter, but also appropriate for yourself and your husband in the (hopefully) distant future. It is a strange thing to have a cemetery plot and headstone already set up for yourself at 35 years old! I've been trying to figure all of this out for about 8 years. So here it is. That reflected this. I had seen something similar stated som...

Casa de Pate: January 2015
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 26, 2015. The Beauty of Pain. Recently, Elijah asked me if there was one thing that has ever happened to anyone in our family that I could take back or change. And if so, what would it be? You look deeper. You look even deeper than the depths of despair. Because from under those depths, love springs. Joy grows. Hope rises. Even in the most difficult, painful of circumstances, can't we see more? Can we see beyond and under the surface layer of ugliness and pain to see something else? It do...

Casa de Pate: July 2012
http://casadepate.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. I have told myself over and over that I don't need to put that stuff out there on my blog, but I don't really think that's true. What I have discovered that I need most (and I really do mean "I". This is a personal journey, which everyone does differently) is to share these things, these issues, struggles with others. And how could I not reach out to this hurting woman simply because I couldn't pull myself together emotionally? So, here's what I have decided. This blog is on...
