Journeys in Journaling

I like journaling, and needed a place to do it. Since I am not doing it in my actual journal, I thought I would give this a try. Come learn a little about my inner workings (please, not too much though), some about Wifey, my lovely and talented wife, and Munchkin and Munchkenna, our incredibly darling girls. Besides talking about my family, you will probably hear some random information on books, music, art, and writing.

Journeys in Journaling: October 2011

http://journeysinjournaling.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 15, 2011. You Might Have Missed. Since I have been so quiet here lately, I thought that I needed to stage a return. Instead of trying to relive all the events of the past three months, I decided just to give you some of the highlights. I can state the following happened during these months:. Munchkenna is now three months and tries to do situps. She can sit (supported) by herself, but prefers to be held (facing out to take in the wonders of the world). I now own an iPhone and an iPad.

Journeys in Journaling: Daddy

http://journeysinjournaling.blogspot.com/2012/07/daddy.html

Monday, July 16, 2012. While we were on our recent trip to Portland, we stopped in some random town to get some fuel, both for the car and for ourselves. Knowing that our check-in time for the hotel was not until 4:00 pm, we decided to kill some time in the local Dairy Queen. When I say the local Dairy Queen, don't be fooled. This was a deluxe Dairy Queen, complete with newish furniture, free Wi-Fi, and an indoor play place. After following us down the slide meant only for children (as in I had a really ...

Journeys in Journaling: May 2011

http://journeysinjournaling.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 23, 2011. Munchkin decided to be not so neeky today. Or maybe she was super neeky. After we got home from my parents' house tonight, I happened to peek over at the couch to find this:. Munchkin is to the point where she loves coloring. If there are pens, pencils, crayons, markers, or other writing implements around, she wants to color. Wifey told me that she caught Munchkin with a pen today sitting on the stair, but didn't think that she had tagged anything. She is just too neeky. Now it is a...

Journeys in Journaling: It's So Wonderful!

http://journeysinjournaling.blogspot.com/2012/07/it-so-wonderful.html

Thursday, July 12, 2012. We are on a trip with my parents to go to my oldest nephew's wedding. Yes, I'm old enough to have a nephew getting married. We ended up staying at a fine establishment in Pendleton called the Rodeway Inn. We rolled into town with two small girls who were eager to escape their car seats, and when we asked about a continental breakfast, we we're all eager to accept this spot as our home away from home for the evening. We closed the door to start getting jammies on, and Wifey notice...

Journeys in Journaling: March 2011

http://journeysinjournaling.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 31, 2011. Generally, I'm not moved by TV. I rarely watch enough to follow storylines (especially sitcoms or dramas). We watched a bit of Mobbed tonight (which had Wifey in tears. I blame the pregnancy hormones), and during a commercial break, I was truly moved by television. What makes the writers of Grey's Anatomy think that having their doctors sing every few minutes and turn the episode into a Broadway musical? Links to this post. The Day Munchkin Will Always Remember. Has a great stor...

Journeys in India

Friday, October 5, 2007. Is what it takes to drive in India! Cars, motorcycles, taxis, auto rickshaws (3-wheeled taxis), bicycles, three-wheeled carts, buses, lorries (trucks with long open beds), scooters, carts pulled by cattle – what do all these things have in common? The more compact the car, the better it will be in traffic and parking will be a breeze. It feels like a sardine tin to me, but that is a lost sentiment in this country. Gas stations are trying hard to model themselves after the. The Hi...

I thought I would use our trip to High Point, NC as a starting point for my blog. I know that some of your are probably thinking: "High Point, NC? What kind of a place is that to go on spring break? Journeys in Jersey

Monday, January 12, 2015. I cant believe this is my last letter on my mission. It seems like yesterday that I sent my first. It was a really really busy week of packing, planning and drinking mate and playing uno, so Ill keep it brief. And Sheila. Then I saw the Lazaro family and the Bravos from Passaic and hermana Suarez from West new york. We had a ton of Union CIty peeps there too who were so excited to be there and see all of the missionaries. The whole church was literally just bursting ...I love yo...

Journeys in Joburg

Leave a comment ». I know it sometimes feels like all I post are pictures of new houses and safaris. I guess that’s when I’m most likely to have my camera nearby. In January, I decided to go to the KwaZulu-Natal province where it’s easiest to spot cheetahs and leopards. Here are a few photos from Phinda:. February 25, 2011 at 4:18 pm. Nigeria here I come! Leave a comment ». Still, if anyone calls you on my behalf from Nigeria, consider it fraudulent! The AP will take very good care of me not to worry!

Journeys in Journaling

Thursday, July 26, 2012. I have felt a bit odd recently. I've had the opportunity to take paid vacation. That is something I haven't had before this position. With that being said, I've applied for another one. The university I graduated from is looking for a technical writer to work for the Office of Information Technology. There are many things about the position that interest me, including project work, creating instructional videos, offering staff training, and blogging. WHOO HOO! This new position c...

Our Journals - Home

It began with two. Once upon a time. More time passed, grand children started coming along, and the desire to stay connected intensified. Ben started to dash off short notes in his cell phone’s browser, notes Mom would forward to a few close friends and family. The number of people wanting the little updates grew and along in there somewhere Ben finally completed the generation by marrying his own beautiful young lady.
