Through The Tunnel: Life After PostPartum Depression: Breast is not always best, part 2.
http://journeythroughppd.blogspot.com/2012/08/breast-is-not-always-best-part-2.html
Breast is not always best, part 2. Note: I'd like to refer everyone to a post I wrote a couple of months ago about the fact that there are antidepressants you can take while breastfeeding. In a previous post, I wrote about why Breast is not alwaysbest. Today, I’d like to discuss a specific facet of that. Of all the issues that we could be devoting our time and energy to, we choose to spend it on judging women for why they choose to feed their child a certain way? Thursday, August 02, 2012. In July 2009, ...

Mental health hero moment: Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. In the past, I've written about my frustrations with people who attribute struggles with PPD or any other mental health issue to a lack of faith or any other spiritual failing. Today, I want to talk about someone who is getting it right: Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During the 183rd Semiannual General Conference spanning from October 5-6, 2013, Elder Holland gave a talk titled " Like a Broken Vessel.
Through The Tunnel: Life After PostPartum Depression: Dear BabyCenter, PostPartum Depression is not a marketing tool
http://journeythroughppd.blogspot.com/2012/03/dear-babycenter-postpartum-depression.html
Dear BabyCenter, PostPartum Depression is not a marketing tool. This morning, as usual, I hopped on Twitter and started scrolling through my feed. There were a number of interesting tweets about everything fromPPD to the Death Penalty to the Trayyvon Martin case to discussions of the impending Wrestlemania 28 and everything in between. One tweet in particular. Caught my eye, though:. Has whipped back to the 50's to suggest women try prettying up some, not "SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY". Can color cure PPD?

Suddenly, Mom said we had to get down to the basement. We lived in Georgia so people actually had basements underneath the house, down in the ground and everything. I remember following her and, despite me going as fast as I could, she was dragging me and I was stumbling. The steps were so steep as they went down into darkness, down into the ground where everything was cool and still. My dad describes the tornado activity. Across the county and in our neighborhood/over and around our house:. Maybe you're...

Pull up a chair, grab a drink, put your feet up, and happy reading. What is a Gestational Surrogate? Friday, September 6, 2013. Not really an update. Birth Stories and Pictures. Co-Sleeping and Bed Sharing. I Am Strong Because…. Alternative Methods of Checking Dilation {The Purple Line and More}. By Birth Without Fear. June 6, 2013. Through several years of being a part of the birth world I have noticed a trend. Dilation is *the* birth topic. The news of little or a lot of dilation can either help or hurt a mother’s mental state in labor. That&...

A Shared Journey Through Political Land. Monday, February 3, 2014. Thursday, December 19, 2013. Protesting when an American voices their opinion is getting very old. Why does anyone care what someone else says? If you're at peace with how you live your life, what difference does someone else's opinion make? We still do not know the truth about Benghazi. Why is that? PUHLEASE. However, Barbara DID say in a recent interview that her one regret is not having more children. Were young women listening? My boy...

My Journey Through Reading...
My Journey Through Reading. Sunday, July 27, 2008. I'm slowly coming back from my break. Last Sunday my husband and I rode in the Chicagoland Ride for Kids on our motorcycle. This ride benefits The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and has become one of our favorite rides. We rode 140 miles roundtrip which is nothing when you think about what these kids and their families are going through. Yeah, it's about time! I hope everyone has a great reading week!
