After weeks of jokes from friends about there being more than 1 baby I started to get a little paranoid. We had an early scan booked for next Tuesday but since hubby was home today we thought we’d try and make it for today. I rang the radiologist at 9.15am and they said they had an available appointment at 10:20am, which gave me 5 minutes to drink the required 1 litre of water. A City Girl in the Country.

Exhaustion is 24/7, morning sickness is daily, sometimes just in the morning and sometimes all day, food aversions are making eating HARD, as is the reflux. That's actually probably a good thing. This space was where I escaped when I was depressed. I came here to escape when I didn't have anyone else to talk to. And you know what? I'm happy. Journey to 26.2. October 18, 2010 · 11:58 pm. I ran 26.2 miles. I crossed the finish line with a smile. I FINISHED A MARATHON! The weather was perfect, the volunteers were great, the crowd was awesome, the scenery was fantastic. The months of training paid off. Journey to 26.2. Sunday, November 23, 2014. My love/hate relationship with running. Running is a much a mental sport as it is a physical one, just as it is a team sport rather than just an individual one. My experiences while training for the Wineglass Marathon, and race day itself, were reminders of this. I began to no longer care. I was determined to get my long runs in since I knew there was no way I could go into a marathon without them, but the rest of my training suffered. Why was I craving company?
