A place to share the journey. Friday, July 30, 2010. It's official, today the judge said, "So, she's yours," in court and so she is! I pick her up and move to the guest house tomorrow. Tonight San and I got some quick dinner, went to a bookstore, went to a grocery store for formula and baby food (books vs babyfood - hmmm), and then to the hotel, where a coffee ceremony/acoustic guitar-drum-singer were playing great classics. A place to share the journey. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Mom - thanks for all the clothes andblankets and the sweet cuddle toy you sent with San. San was a great help when we first got here - she did EVERYTHING while Alemitu and I gazed at each other. Now that San is gone, we've settled into a daily routine that works well. We waited in line for visa, customs, money exchange, luggage, luggage to be scanned and on to our ride. We are staying at the Jupiter Hotel. It is a nice hotel, but with really short beds. Wednesday was an exciting day. We got to meet and spend about 2 hours with Alemetu! She is sooo sweet! She has 2 teeth, soft curly hair, easy going and a sweet smile!

Journey to a Little Johnson. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Day 12 of my 500 mg Metfomin and I am NAUSEOUS! I'm getting headaches here and there, but I'm not sure if it's the meds or the fact that we're in the car for over 5 hours a day taking T (the MIL) to her radiation treatments. I've never done well in the car so it could be that but I'm thinking the meds aren't helping. Breakfast- Spinach and cheese omelet and baloney. I couldn't eat too much of the omelet, but tomorrow I have a better plan for one.
