Chronicling the milestones to our most audacious goals. August 7, 2015. November 1, 2015. A call to the alpine climbing community. Well it’s happened. As far as I know no climbing trip would be complete without at least a few hiccups. The word has just come down from the Western Alberta / Eastern BC region that the glacier conditions in the Bugaboos. Are (in certain areas) exceedingly dangerous . Here is an excerpt from a conversation with a local guide:. Minimal Googling returns similar information.

Chronicling the milestones to our most audacious goals. After backing off Mount Washington last February with severe avalanche conditions and a team members ankle injury – the windiest mountain on the east coast has been taunting us to have another go. This February two trips are planned, one to NH IceFest and another purely to head down to Huntington ravine to take on Pinnacle Gully. WI3 ), well within our range we just need a window! The Ruitelspitzen, with the Kreuzgipfel (middle left) and Hauptgipfel (middle right) separated by the traverse tower. On Friday, July 24, I had my first solo adventure in the Lechtaler Alpen. One step at a time. You are here: Home. Trip report: Saxon Switzerland, Bielatal valley. Trip report: Saxon Switzerland, Bielatal valley. July 7, 2015. Climbers topping out on the Schiefer Turm. Clearly I’ve been reading too many books like Psychovertical. The only really exciting thing that happened is that I managed to burn my neck during a longish abseil. When I got home, Clair asked where I got the hickey. I told her it was the kiss of the figure eight. To a climb-whuppin’. My objective thi...Robby l...

Training Review 2015 - everyday ascent

One step at a time. You are here: Home. March 15, 2016. Traversing from the Jöchelspitze to the Großer Krottenkopf last summer. In the course of developing my training plan for 2016, I took a long hard look at last year’s training. Here are the takeaways:. Journey to a Little Johnson

Journey to a Little Johnson. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Day 12 of my 500 mg Metfomin and I am NAUSEOUS! I'm getting headaches here and there, but I'm not sure if it's the meds or the fact that we're in the car for over 5 hours a day taking T (the MIL) to her radiation treatments. I've never done well in the car so it could be that but I'm thinking the meds aren't helping. Breakfast- Spinach and cheese omelet and baloney. I couldn't eat too much of the omelet, but tomorrow I have a better plan for one.

Journey to a Little One | This is my journey to my first little human.

Journey to a Little One. This is my journey to my first little human. December 23, 2016. My mom and sister outdid themselves again with the holiday-themed photos. We can all agree that it is SO much harder to get her to stay still enough to get a decent, non-blurry photo now that she is constantly on the move. Doing one of her favorite things. Miles and Kaya, Christmas 2016. But didn’t they turn out amazing? Turns out, one-year-olds don’t actually like sitting on a crate tangled in lights. She LOVES Chri...

Journey To "A Longing Fulfilled..."

Journey To "A Longing Fulfilled.". Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. journeytoalyn | Jessica and Rocky Riding for the Alyn Hospital for the first time.

November 13, 2011 · 10:20 pm. A Truly Unbelievable Experience. Jess’ Recap of the Ride. It’s just amazing what the mind can push the body to do. Life Lessons on the Journey to a Marathon

Life Lessons on the Journey to a Marathon. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Saturday, September 24th, 2011 I set out on the Century I had chosen, the Rip Roarin'. Saturday morning I just wanted to go see what I could do. On my registration form I circled 103, but a big circle that encompassed 79 as well! Shortly after Rest Stop 3, there was a turn off to go back to complete the 50- the farthest I had trained to. I had to go farther than that! Then I passed 79 miles! And, I remembered the loop I had taken ver...
