New Reality I: Relationship with Smartphone. 땡쓰기빙 주간을 맞아 미국의 수도에 놀러왔다. 친구와 백악관을 구경 한 후 커피를 한 잔 하기 위해 길을 걷다가. 줄지어 버스를 기다리는 사람들을 보았다. 신기한 건 모두들 기다리는 시간을 보내기 위해 스마트폰을 이용하고 있었다. 미국의 문화 속에서 줄에 서 있을 때 모르는 사람 일지라도 앞 뒤 사람에게. 간단한 인사를 건네며 농담도 주고 받는 것이 흔했었는데,. 이제는 그런 모습을 자주 보지 못하는 것 같아 아쉽다. 그러고 보니 우리가 얼마나 많은 시간을 스마트 폰 사용에 보내고 있으며. 그로 인해 우리의 생각하는 시간들, 대화하는 시간들, 주변 경치를 바라보는 시간 들 등을 빼았겼는가. 반대로 우리는 떨어져 있는 친구들과 혹은 한번도 본적이 없는 사람들과. 스마트 폰을 이용해 소식을 주고 받으며 관계를 맺고 있다.
